I'll agree with you on Bad Taste Aquarium. Not so much on Mazuri - it's not bad, but I didn't find it particularly memorable.

Everytime I see that title, I think of this: As far as music goes, I bring to your attention the indoor interludes in Sonic Chronicles (2:30 to 3:15 in following video, for example). Why couldn't all the music have been like that instead of the pathetic monotone remixes they went with?

All DB's music sounds pretty boring to me.
Though the quality of the video is only making it worse. It doesn't sound that terrible on a DS screen. (Never played, but I tried it for a bit)
Anyway...
Sonic && Knuckles collection for PC has better Ice Cap music.
It's funny, I could've sworn the Angel Island music was way different on the PC version than what the video searches pop up. So frustrating...

a song I always liked and found good for it's game was "I am all of me" of Shadow the hedgehog. I Know the game isn't much but I liked the music!

That's like me with '06, I hate the game, but it has some good songs... (Some. That 'remake' at the end of Sonic's story is cringe-worthy...)

If you say 'All Hail Shadow' as one of your fav tracks I will have to send an assassin to kill you. That was one of the worst pieces of Sonic music I've heard in a loooooooong time. In that regard I generally think the large majority of vocal Sonic music is awful. I generally like and even love the non vocal stuff from the 2D days to the 3D days (up to SA2). Sonic CD would have to have my fav Sonic music in, leaning towards the Jap soundtrack.

Yes, for me: (All except last bit) During this part of the game I had a vision of what this game would have been like if it was finished. And dropped the whole Elise thing. And what if Tails, Knuckles, Rouge, Omega, Amy and Blaze were made full fledged characters. It was all right.

It sounded like some 12 year old fanboy wrote it. I don't like a lot of the voiced songs. The ones from Sonig R were much better than the stuff we have today, but the instrumental songs aren't bad. I'm not very picky about music though so almost anything is tolerable. The remake of Sonic 2's ending was more unbearable than Shadow's ending though... Just because it turned a good song into a sappy love song pile of crap.

This track has happy memories for me, because me and a mate at college did a weird dance into (and out of) a lift to this very piece of music, cueing some strange looks and collective mirth of those waiting at the bottom.
What made it all the more a bizarre sight was that said mate was a tall, slightly scary-looking punk girl with a huge mohican and tons of piercings, then myself, a relatively short (compared to most other male college-goers, who were freakishly tall) slim guy with a ponytail and bumfluff facial hair. Yes.

Some of my favorite tracks are the Egg Dealer, Black Doom, and Sonic/Diabon´s boss themes from Shadow the Hedgehog, all the main boss themes from Sonic Unleashed, Super Ix´s final boss theme from Dark Brotherhood, the Nonaggression/EX-Boss theme from Sonic Advance 3, and Bomber Barbara and Wrapped in Black from Sonic Rush.

Yes, Gamma's Theme! So underrated they didn't even bother to give it a title. Great track, though, it qualified for my MP3 player.
Also, another underrated track, constantly overshadowed by its notorious act 3 variant:

[quote author=danbaxter board=sonic thread=10868 post=438873 Casino Night Zone (2-player)Gamma's themeChaos Angel act 2[/quote] My respect for you = 10,000 Especially Chaos Angel. I wore my GBA battery down listening to the sound test from that game, it was either that song or this one. <- Shoddy video quality is killing the song but I can't find a better vid. Speaking of Sonic 2 2P race... My favorite 2P song from that game, mostly because it was the one that got stuck in my head for, like, 3 years before I remembered where it was from. Songs drive me crazy like that. And then there's this: Most repetitive song in the line-up but I like how solemn it sounds, it's a real break from the usual up-beat tunes of Sonic.

I'm particularly fond of the percussion progression in this one. Also, from the same game:
I loved this track when I first heard it, then was sorely disappointed when I returned to that boss upon beating it and couldn't get it to play again. Took me years just to unlock the sound test to finally hear it again.
Edit: On a similar note, THIS awesome track isn't even in the sound test!

Double posted for ease of use and importance of point:
Can anyone PLEASE tell me where I can hear the Digital Dimension-style cue in the background of this cutscene (from 0:35) isolated? It is the single most awesome music cue in Riders, and I want it so desperately.

Not too impressed by that Doomsday thing, personally. It's less "orchestral" and more "string", really.

Never really felt any interest towards Doomsday's music, I much prefer the music played in the Last Boss of Sonic 3 and the 2nd Last one of Sonic and Knuckles. I would have to say that, no contest, all my favourite tracks are from Sonic Adventure. I think that a lot of it's tracks really suited the stages they were played in. My Favourites are:
You need to have the sound of Jingle Bells in the music for a Snow-themed level! and this, just because it reminds me of the countryside.
The first part of Sky Deck also had awesome music.

Has anyone else ever wondered if Sky Chase from Sonic 2 should have lyrics?
I swear up and down this is a REAL song, I've heard the melody to it before on the radio, but all I can remember of it are 2 lines that caught my attention. Anyone else ever hear a song that sounds like this?
I couldn't get a YouTube link of the song but I guess everybody knows it anyway. (YouTube is down atm I think.
