This isn't an exaggeration. Not a sarcastic comment. Please let this be a hoax. Please, merciful God, let this be a hoax. Metroid is probably my most beloved videogame franchise. The first game I ever played was Metroid 2 on my brother's Game Boy. I bought a GBA solely for Fusion (and Pokémon, but that's irrelevant). I love Metroid, basically. If they cock it up on a scale such as this, I will be quite annoyed. Like, actually annoyed, as opposed to irked, like I am when, say, a game cocks up in design (on topic, such as Metroid Prime 2 (IMO)). My only hope is that Nintendo are sensible enough to tell Uwe Boll to get [censored]ed, and hand the license to someone good. Or just drop the idea, either or.

Are these game companies even aware of what Boll is doing to their franchises? Do they care? I respect Nintendo a great deal for their ability to produce quality games like the Metroid series, but that respect is gonna drop like a brick if they let Boll make a Metroid movie, because it won't be good. NOTHING this [censored] makes is any good. So if Nintendo care about their franchise and its fans at all, they will not allow this to happen.

Oh sweet Jesus no!
I've heard the 'Metroid Movie' thing doing the rounds at the rumour-mill for years, but I've never really thought it was a franchise that lent itself to a film adaptation - in the games, Samus is usually on her own most of the time, and silent. They'd have to shoe-horn in extra characters, lots of dialogue, etc to make a film work - so it'd end up being Metroid in name/character designs only really.
And Jessica Simpson? Eurgh! She's easy on the eyes, but she can't act.

This had better be fake. If it isn't, heads WILL roll, starting with that stinking kraut.
