It's spelt "owns" on this side of the Atlantic.

That would be grammatically incorrect...so...that side of the Atlantic is wrong?

Ahh, well at least this is a step in the right direction.
Could you possibly expand on this? Do you have anything in particular to compare between the two, after having read both comics?

I just like the story arcs, along with the art style of Archie vs. the art style of Sonic the Comic, although Sonic the Comic is not horrible either. I have skimmed through a few issues in print of Sonic the Comic, but I cannot figure out how to view them on this website. Help? If I read more maybe I will change my opinion, idk.

You won't find the original paper STC on the STCO website, as its a fan made continuation of the comic which actually went out of print some years ago... one of our forum members has a site which has a few scans of the original. Of course you will find here most people are biased towards STC, but there are several Archie fans here too, myself included... but only sort of casually!! I'm not hugely into it, not like I was with STC back when I was a kid.

Oh, ok. I figured that Sonic the Comic online was authorized...and thus cannon, but I guess not. Anyway, how do I view the online comics?

It sounds like you need some educating. Sonic the Comic (STC) went into print in 1993 and came out of print in 2001 (I think, sometime around then, feel free to correct me), and was authorised by Sega Europe. It had its own canon, own continuity and characters, and besides the license, is not like the games or Archie. An online continuation was started in 2004, and can be found at www.stconline.co.uk . And read for free. However, I would advise getting a hold of the official comic scans, or the official comic, if you have a mountain of cash to spare, otherwise you won't get the story all that well. Or you could go to www.stcreruns.co.uk to get your weekly fix, run by our very own Alex. Pay me later, dude. I warn you, it does not start out well, but hopefully you enjoy.

The Archie fans like myself sometimes discuss Sonic the Comics, and so I figured I would check it out.

It is neat to be able to read these comics online, and for free, but there is just something about actually holding the comics.

Double-post dawg, use the Modify button. And yeah, I agree with that. Scans just don't match the feeling, but since I only really care about the story (as opposed to the collection - I was too young to remember half the plots, as well), I used the scans. Still, whether you wanna use the scans or not, welcome to the forum. Remember to read the rules, though. Or the mod's'll eat you. They say they won't, but they will, y'know. I've seen it happen.

Because Egmont were morons.

long stoy short, the editors assumed the readers wouldn't notice if they started doing just reprints of old stories. The readers did notice, sales went done, and they pulled the plug when they thought it was no longer profitable.

Oh, we don't have those problems with Archie yet lol. I hope they continue to stay strong, and you guys should check out the Archie comics.

As you can see, a lot of us already have. I like Archie from about since Ian Flynn joined. Man knows how to write a story. However, I still prefer STC, just because of the smaller cast, the fact that I grew up with it, and besides one character, the fact that they've all remained relatively true to their initial selves.

I started collecting Archie at #200 and have been since. 1-199 still need getting for myself but I do have access to them <_< Shush.
I also have 135, 192 randomly. Oh and the 2009 and 2010 Free Comic-Book Day comics.

Right, okay. You REALLY need to read the rules. Seriously. Bumping (especially after an hour and a half, for crying out loud!) with nothing to say isn't accepted, I don't think. It's really annoying, actually.
Edit: Stiv's post goes before mines.

Right, okay. You REALLY need to read the rules. Seriously. Bumping (especially after an hour and a half, for crying out loud!) with nothing to say isn't accepted, I don't think. It's really annoying, actually. To follow up on this, I'm gonna say, yeah, please read the rules, because if you're careless, the banhammer shall be thrown. The rules I'm gonna emphasise are don't double post, and don't bump threads. It gets annoying and will not earn yourself a good name amongst your fellow STC fans. Also, there is a certain etiquette that should be observed while posting on the forums, sort of like unwritten rules. Grammar; use it properly. We don't like to see "PWN LOL ROFL xD xD" every post. If you're gonna disagree with someone, back it up and provide a good, but friendly arguement. If it get's heated, move the arguement to PM's, or the Mods will chow you down for supper. Don't use the excuse that you are new or a "n00b" because I'm fairly new myself. You will get on a lot better here if you observe what I'm saying. Just to stress once more, read the rules.

Pfft, what? Nobody even mentioned the name Silver. What... what are you talking about? Also, no, we don't tend to use "rofl lol pwned" language on this forum. In fact, it's usually seen as a member being sarcastic if we do.
