Remember those game that you could never finish? Not the ones that you too lazy to bother with or simply forget about, but the ones that were so DAMN hard you could not progress any further no matter what you did. There are many infamous and not so infamous examples throughout the world of the internet but let's see what everyone's personal ones here are. For me one of the games that has haunted me throughout my childhood for being so damn hard was Alien Trilogy on the PS1. Even today Section 3 still illludes me on how to beat it. Still a great game though.

Sonic Spinball and Sparkster. Well technically I have completed those games but only with extensive save scumming. If I were to play them properlyE However, the hardest game that I never completed is Prinny: Can I Really Be The Hero. I once managed to get to Sir Sweet and actually beat his first form but with his second form I either die or run out of time. And it's not as if I didn't have the lives to spare, it's just I really don't want to spend so much time on him.
Heck, if it wasn't for the videos on Youtube I would seriously question if that boss is even supposed to be beatable!

Robocop Vs Terminator on the Mega Drive. Couldn't even get past Robo-Cain on the second level.

I recently played E-Swat on the Sega Mega Drive Collection. Cannot pass the second level (with the prison cell things) for the life of me. And need I mention the accursed thing again? -

Why bump the old thread!? This one was fine. It just adds to the malaise if we kep bumping ancient threads instead of just keeping the forum moving.

Chaos emerald in Sky High Zone's a bit of a [censored] and the third act of Green Hills is kinda hard, but overall the game is really easy.

Curse you Sonic 2 GG Version Dear God. That game is unforgiving. Got both it and the MS version (same game just bigger screen) and both are damned impossible. Think I got as far as the 3rd zone before continuously dying. Will try again one day. One day...

The Game Gear version is a bit harder because of the smaller screen, but it's still really really easy!
Seriously, there is an extra life every two steps, the levels are short as Hell and have barely any enemies and they're not exactly difficult to navigate.
And sorry to hear about you having MS :/

Out of the very few games I've ever owned, I found Rocket Knight Adventures the hardest. And the Worms expansion pack, United & Reinforcements with its special challenge rounds. I couldn't get passed level 20 of 25.
