The Reapers chose London to finally wipe out X Factor once and for all.
Now that is what I would call salvation through destruction!

I do love that they have predicted that Big Ben and the rest of present day London is still standing in the Mass Effect universe.
And it hasn't been destroyed by: Students Eco-Warriors The great motorist rebellion led by Sir J Clarkson in 2021 Pacifists British Nazis Royalists Anti Royalists Fat People The Labour Party The Conservative Party *insert religion of choice here* The Nintendo Wii 2: Wii Harder OCP Skynet Football Supporters Call of Duty: Future Warfare Poor People Rich People The Olympics The Locust The Flood King Bush the 3rd mistaking us for France The entire male race becoming consumed by the pure evil force that is Cheryl Cole The French
And so on. I mean that is brave on Bioware.

I presume it'd be as a historical monument, sort of how we see the Leaning Tower.
Utterly psyched for it based on this info.

This is a series I've been drastically misinformed about, and am going to have to make an effort to get into.

Just wondering about something.
What the hell does Holiday 2011 actually mean? Summer? Next Xmas? When is it?

"The Holidays" is America's own Culturally-Ambiguous Socially-Indeterminate Non-Denominational term for the Christmas season, so it should be something for ask Santa for next year.
Reading the encyclopaedia articles back in the first game (hey, I'm big on worldbuilding), it said that despite the Earth Alliance calling the shots out amongst the stars, Earth itself is still divided into nation-states, so Westminster could still have an actual function.
Never mind that, though - even more incredible is that the London Eye is still there however many centuries later. I can appreciate its status as a landmark but as an archaeologist I'm not sure of its heritage value! Although now I'm picturing the great Millenial Steel Revivalist movement of 2121 and King Charles IV complaining about why buildings can't be made out of damp grey concrete blocks like in the good old days...
One day, the Newcastle multi-storey car park will be held up as a splendid model of cultural character. Scary, ain't it?
