I can't tell whose worse now. This all just makes me wonder, in spite of my own perversions, am I actually the most normal? Also, I was hoping people would give a sort of percentage, or an X of Y, just to see how many games go unfinished, rather than just "I beat this this and this, and nearly did that too". ah well, such is topics when you include a list... Edit: Removed some potentially shaky accusations. Well this is just a rubbish edit, Shay. You took out the the first two lines, but left the third without any sort of context whatsoever. You'd've done better just taking out the entire first paragraph, even if it then makes your following comment make no sense, so you'd have to take out the entirity of your post too, lest you look stupid. You idiot Love you <3 On the actual topic, I have little to add, aside from that some games simply cannot be 100% because there's no defined goal. I'll never 100% Tetris, because there's nothing to 100% Closest you'd get to that is getting the highest score in the history of humanity, which I'd imagine is insanely high. A quick Google says it's 1,648,905, achieved in '99, but this was from the Guiness book of records '07, so it may just be higher. Still, something to aim for.

There was a world record broken last week in gaming- most time spent on one fighting game in one session. Think it was Smash Bros. Brawl, for 30 hours, with over 400 matches.
Might try and beat it with Mortal Kombat II. And beer.

Might try and beat it with Mortal Kombat II. And beer. Oddly enough, thirty hours is the time required to unlock the Timer Trophy, though it's meant to be cumulative. There's one longer than that, for a hundred hours. And I think thirty hours is easy to beat, depending on the situation and game. There have been many charity efforts where groups have played for much longer than that, and I think if several like minded Boomers with some spare time and somewhere to do it arranged it, we could break that record ourselves...

My proudest 100% would have to be F-Zero GX. All stories on very hard, all cups on master. Though it still technically isn't I guess, since I haven't been arsed to buy all the ghosts. . I tip my hat off to you. I still haven't managed to complete the game 100%. I think it's just one story on Very Hard mode, the one where you have to race down that tunnel with the doors closing. If I could complete that my life would be complete.

If I could complete that my life would be complete. Thanks. And while that wasn't the last one I did, by HELL it was arguably the toughest. I once spent two hours on just this challenge, and solely this challenge, trying to beat it on Very Hard. At the end of that time period, I finally managed to get there in time, only to hit the roof of the door and stop dead, failing the challenge. It's the only game in history that's caused me a breakdown, because of that one challenge. When I finally managed it, technically I shouldn't have got it, as I was a third of a second too late. I'd even paused it ready to exit and try again, I only unpaused because I decided I'd had enough, and thank [censored] I did! My time was 40.3 seconds. Should've been 40.0 to pass, but I won't complain, I'm never doing that again.

Another game I hundred-percented, neglected to mention first time round: Soul Calibur 2. I must've invested an outrageous amount of time towards acheiving total completion of this game. All characters and modes unlocked, all extras, all chapters and extra chapters in Weapon Master mode, the dog's proverbials.
And even after doing it, I still continued to level grind for some considerable time. I'm not sure how many titles there are in total, I eventually managed to reach Level 80 (Grand Edgemaster of the Ogre) before calling it a day because I just couldn't be chewed with carrying on. There's probably more after that, though. Maybe the last one's Grand Edgemaster of God And The Universe, or something ludicrous like that.
Edit: Didn't realise I double-posted. Apologies for that.
