Out now? Bit misleading... it doesn't start until next week... Might as well post the info here: Prog 1387 goes on sale on 28 April 2004, priced £1.60 (Earth money). A.H.A.B. By Nigel Kitching & Richard Elson In this deep-space drama, mankind is under threat of extinction from a virulent strain of Ebola, and Earth's only hope may lie with the mysterious creatures known as the Kohenyu, who travel across the dimensions. Jane Ishmael is part of the science team sent out to extract a cure - but their journey is going to take a very bizarre turn... And the cover looks like this:

Can't wait for this, but 2000AD is slightly hard to come by in my town. I'll have to hunt this one down, I think. Don't comic deliveries traditionally happen on Thursdays?

American comics arrive in the UK on thursdays. 2000ad is UK though, so doesn't have the same limitations. I imagine it has different distributers or something....

Just ask your local newsagent to order it in for you.
Most WH Smith outlets carry it too.

Just ask your newsagent if they can get some in.
If they can't get it in on time, you can get it from any branch of WH Smith. There is probably a back issue service as well.

Yes, hello Megadroid and all that. When do I get paid ;D *Bows for the sake of it* And is there something I need to do for back issues at WHSmith- like ask the manager or something?

Smiths won't stock back issues - you'll have to order them directly from the publisher (unless you have a comic shop nearby that keeps 2000AD in stock).

Today has turned out to be quite an exciting day for 2000AD in fact... it's just been announced that DC has picked up the American publishing rights to its material.
And apparently AHAB has gone down a treat with subscribers. Someone's calling it a "minor classic", even at this early stage.

I got it at the newsagent's down the road ;D *is bundled by various outraged Boomers* Well, I've never bought an issue of 2000 A.D. before, but it was well worth the money. Elson's art just keeps getting better and better...how does the man fit in all these details? It's a little early to comment on the script thus far, but it certainly grabs you. The only thing that bugs me is the reheating of the name "Kohenyu". Good name, yes, but would it really have been so hard to come up with a new one? The rest of the comic's good, too. A.H.A.B. is the best story (and that's not just me being fanboyish, it genuinely is), but the others are well worth a read, especially "Chopper: The Big Meg". The Dredd strip is a little too mean-spirited for me, though. I know that's how it's meant to be, but...*shrugs*

Well, I got mine, Kitching's script is nicely familar, and it does really remind me of STC. Elson's art is amazing - really the best in the comic, and the final page is excellent. Is 2000AD out weekly?
