I got one of those things Today! Its music is cool, the coin looks good but the Sonic Adventure 2 game it includes is only readable on Jap Dreamcasts! But still, if your a collector, YOU HAVE TO GET IT!

I have this too (I collect the games y'see). It is SO great to read up on the origins of Sonic. It's basically a blue folder with dodgy English grammar, which has the date and a Sonic timeline printed on it in gold. It then has the soundtrack to the MD games, Sonic CD, Sonic R and some SA and SA2 tracks, with the SA2 ones being a remix kind of thing. There is also the collector's coin, and a booklet on pretty much every aspect of Sonic. And the Japanese game, yeah ;D.

i've got it, its damn cool.
by the way, the game will play if you have a disk that allows your dreamcast to play imports, or if its chipped. (disk cheaper)

I finally got my copy last summer on Ebay, brand new for £15. 'Cause, now www.lik-sang.com is selling them for £5 but alas... It's really cool, and the game is playable if you have a DC bootdisk, they're easily available online from places like Dreamcast Emulation etc. Oddly enough, the Japanese version has the only glitch I've ever had in a 3D Sonic game; In Robotnik's section of "Cannons Core" You can't start as you just fal through the floor. I managed to hover all the way to the end once but the camera wouldn't come any closer so I landed in the green fuzz before the exit and died, lol! I didn't bother trying it again. Mike

I could play the game. I have got a Japanese Dreamcast which has been chiped to play English games. Me and my brother got it about 2 months before it was released over here.

I think that in America and the UK it was released at the same time but in Japan it was out ages ago. I may be wrong through.

Nope, it was released on June 23rd 2001 everywhere. Says so on the box, and that's also when SA2 went on general release.
One question though - my box says "2 days only 2001.6.23~24" in the bottom right corner. I assume this is just when the box was available, but thought it best to confirm that.

You only got the 10th Anniversary box if you bought Sonic Adventure 2 in Japan on it's 1st or 2nd day of release. Unless you got it off eBay or something like that I really love the Sonic Adventure 2 Mix at the end of the CD ;D

I just got my GC action replay through today and it's only taken 8 days to arrive from Japan Mike

Someone must have got it imported and not wanted it- it was just sitting there on the shelf......
