(Please do not displace this to the General Zone, the Sonic allusion shall become evident shortly)
...without its beneficient, enhancing, and marvellously propirious boon, such wondrous and superlative entities such as Ebay would never have manifest themselves within our realm of comprehension, and the internet's broad and ubiquitous representation secular component of society would have been critically undermined and abominably truncated.
I discovered Ebay quite recently, slight more than a week past - if this conveys itself as being confoundingly late material enlightenment, it should be recalled that I am potentionally the most notoriously persistent "endorser of virtues of thrift" (less euphemistically retierated as a "miser" ) in the north of England - and I am rendered into an intense state of distraught anguish when I contemplate what magnificent and choice items that have eluded my desperate grasp in the intervening epoch since its foundation and my subscription to its vast and inexhaustible welt of coveted treasures.
Why should I be inclined to bestow such absolute, unrelenting, and irrefutable praise upon this auction site, however? This stance is induced one sole (yet heedless of this, intensely valid) factor:
I comprehend that the missive I dispatched to the former proprietor of this item should constitute a suffciently direct illustration of the raptures receipt of Sonic the Hedgehog's Tenth Anniversary Celebration Pack induced within me:
Dear Mr. S Ho,
I received the Commerative Edition of Sonic Adventure II in the post today (Saturday 28th February), and all I may declaim is that when that disingenuously innocuous brown package dropped through the letterbox an experience which certainly has rendered my day into brighter, comely hues commenced!
Your packaging of the set was astoundingly meticulous and diligent - that was commendable dedication and foresight! It almost felt sacrilegous to slice it open with a pair of scissors.
The condition of the anniversary box and its contents was also excellent, in an almost unblemished state. This is definitely a grand attribution to your own assured and comprehensive care and attention.
Then, of course, there is the astounding and enthralling nature of the product itself. I realise it may convey itself as being slightly pathetic, but when I was drawing out the game and the promotional display from the vibrant casing I possessed a grin broader than that of the Cheshire Cat after a rigorous course of exercises, and I am confident that it shall remain there for the rest of the day!
I am immensely proud to now cherish a segment of gaming history, and I hope you will raise my glass with me for the next decade of the great hedgehog!
Mr. S Ho, I cannot thank you enough for giving me such a tremendous opportunity as buying this Commerative Edition, and for delivering it such a fantastic manner - my positive comment on your profile is conveyed with absolute and genuine sincerity.
Thank you again![/i]
This spectacular, applaudable, commendable, ecstasy-inducing possession almost (literally) caused me to weep in joy - a potent idicator of the intense devotion that being an adherent of the True Way of Gaming can induce. As illustrated in the images above, the enchantingly-packaged item contains a small promotional booklet (possessing an English translation, which is most certainly an excellent bonus attribute!) that describes the history and concept of the series (could anyone envisage Sonic the Armadillo?), a specially-minted Tenth Anniversary coin, and a gold-printed music CD containing various tracks and themes from throughout Sonic's history up to Sonic Adventure II, all provided in a handsome display box. It also includes a Japanese edition of the aforementioned game.
Despite only being available for two days in Japan, this commerative set is quite readily available on Ebay and I would heartily recommend all of the other Sonic enthusiasts here to acquire one, for it is a most tremendous opportunity to be bestowed with a unique constituent of the history of computer games.
And incidentally, I am not being granted a similarly extensive and propitiously vast fee by Sega or Ebay to publish this eulogical statement... although I should be. ;D
