Came across this picture the other day. It was taken about 10 years ago.... maybe 9. I was about 8 or 9 years old there. Me and my sonic collection; Games, STCs, Posters, Hat, walkman. I sent a copy off to STC but they never printed it

Oh, the nostalgia. I dug up my old Knuckles toy from McDonalds and nearly screamed... Then I found Metal City Mayhem, read it until I was a pro and eventually started with Sonic again... Wow...

Sonic on Master System was the first game I played. I ran repeatedly into the first Moto-Bug. Over and over again.
It was the best thing I had ever done.

The most bizarre childhood memory of Sonic was watching the Big Breakfast years ago when they showed episodes of the first Sonic cartoon. One day, after they showed some of the cartoon they went back to the hosts, the then famous ginger bloke Chris Evans and some woman that I can't remember; but before they carried on with the show, they pointed out that during the episode, they saw a random character in the background (part of a crowd) looked very similar to Evans. They got a still of it and my lord they were right! Well, it made me smile back when it happened.

In the Sonic the Human story, he was Tails!! first memory of Sonic was playing Sonic 1 on my Uncle's old-style Genesis. F'n loved the music then, and I still do

my first memories was when my brother got his megadrive and sonic the hedgehog with it. after that I was obsessed, I played it over and over, even when I could finish it i'd still play it. then, sonic 2 came out and he rented it, after that I just seemed to home in on anything sonicy.

Who remembers those little Sonic biscuits you could get? They came in little packets, had pics on characters on them and Character bios from AoStH on the back of the bag. I saw one with Robotnik's Egg-O-Matic on there. Of course this was around 1993.... The time when you couldn't go anywhere without seeing Sonic there.

heheh, yeah the good old days, I think the strongest memory I have from when I first got into sonic was from sonic 1 on the game gear, aside from the paths that light up saying where the act is (which sent shivers down my spine when I pulled my game gear out a few months back), I remember the part where you fall into the cave at the start of act 2 (GHZ) vividly, and the bit in act 1 (yet again, GHZ) when you go down the slope and dissapear off the edge of the screen when you super spin and hold right ;D, yeah, my childhood was surrendered to sega from then on lol, good times...

My best memory of Sonic is when Sonic 2 had just come out, and you know how in games shops they always have TVs showing the latest games in action? Well, they were playing Sonic2, and I distinctly remember the 2player music for the Emerald Hill Zone being played...when the Megadrive does that thing where it plays through some levels if you leave it for a while...

It was the best thing I had ever done. That is exactly what I did, Master system Sonic was the first one played too! Hmm, great minds must play alike then eh? My other great memories was constantly asking my now step-brother to complete Sonic 2 before I got it cause I loved the ending sequence. *Goes of the hunt for old Sonic stuff and gets the whole cupboardfull collapsing on top of him*

my early sonic memories are my dad tuning in the mega drive and sonic 2 coming on screen.
My mum making me buy STC in John McKenzies instead of a Gaming magesine.
Watching the Sonic cartoons which I had taped again and again.
And the Sonic cuddly toy I had when I was little and I was mad my friend Matt had the talis and knuckles one as well.

Ah that reminds me again of when me and my friends used to play Sonic at the lunchtimes at school, we always had a race and the winner got to be Sonic, rather appropriate I think, thanksfully I was fast at running. Ah it was great, getting to BE Sonic for it...ah the good old days, *Goes into a Nostalgic dream and falls off his chair to smack his head against the bed*

it was all precision, the only bit I remember was: you had to come off that huge ramp with the 'lip' at the bottom, it sent you flying way high and to the left. If you pressed left just enough, you'd smack a monitor, and continue flying forwards... ill try and post all of it up, but it WAS possible: cheatguides printed it, and I got it from an official cheats book for Sonic 1

*Conjures up one of his favourite stories in his mind* Ah I remember...thats 2 cents for teelling...nah im not evil, It started inside the Chaotix HQ where they were just relaxing, well at least trying to relax if it wernt for Charmy being so ANNOYING! Eventually they kick him out for it and he flies of in a huff.
Then, now in peace they sit down again before they hear a noise from outside, it is a spaceship, and the Fundemental Four enter the building. A battle is started, with Chaotix getting WRECKED!
Meanwhile charmy is sitting on a meteor thinking about why he was kicked out, then decides to go back because; "They must have forgivin me by now...mabye the've bought me a present or something*
Then he sees the four inside the base and; "Oh ((sorry about writing this guys) didly-do trouble! what now...oh doodly! I have to think pretty fast..."
Thats what happened, the quotes arent exact, but I think they are close.
*Goes to check collection but is attacked by the rabid guiena pigs he set to guard them*

i remember getting my megadrive for my 7th birthday, and being really hacked off as I had to go to school later that day, but before hand had played it for a short while and managed to get to the 1st boss, who totally wiped the floor with me. - don't laugh - I wasn't very good with game consoles at that point. After that I remember getting home and playing sonic for the rest of the evening until like 2am - lol! I was that hooked as well when Sonic 2 came out - I remember I was one of the first people to complete it at school - he he - only took me like 5 days - lol - SOLID PLAYING - god I had no childhood ;D Rob ;D

I remember playing Sonic when I was about 9 with my friends in school.....Oh! And rememeber those little S&K collectable figures? We used to get one of the little Sonics, hide it somewhere and play "Hide the Sonic". Then we had to find it using the hot and cold method. And when we couldn't find any Sonics we'd use Metallix. Fun times.......
