Is there anyone else who'd quite like to see what's happened to these two? Personally I either see them as obsessive DRAT members living frugal lives and plotting Robotnik's return to power, or electricians/mechanics in the Casino Night Zone working well and in a dedicated manner...and plotting Robotnik's return to power. It'd be quite nice, I think, to see them again, even if it's only in one or two panels in the background. *is bundled by pretty much everyone*

They appeared in #59-62 as well. I was never much into their characters, but it might be fun to see how they adapt to post-RBR Mobius.

I don't remember much about the first (#32-34), and I've lost two of those issues. #59-62 was about the "Seven Badniks".

The first story was called "No More Mr. Nice Bug" and was about them trying to stop a computer virus created by Porker that turns Buzz Bombers into "Niceniks", nature-loving (but still quite violent) goody-goodies. Amusingly, despite the fact the Badniks were quite definitely Buzz Bombers, they were consistently referred to as "Moto Bugs". 'Cos flies and beetles just look so alike, yeah. [/sarcastic fanboy]

Gotta love the hammers though. One looked like something you would break toffee with, it was tiny.

That was the Number Three Hammer, if I remember. ;D fanboy ;D I didn't like these stories too much, but they seemed to gather a heck of a lot of fans... I preferred Decap for my comedy needs.

I like the no. 1 hammer! Bert was great:"I don't want to think about that. I'll think about hammering instead."
And what was the "seven badniks" story? I read the no more Mr. nice bug one.

And what was the "seven badniks" story? *strains rusty memory* Robotnik decides that part of the reason that Sonic always wins so easily is that he knows which badniks he'll encounter in each Zone. So, as the Miracle Planet is currently accessible, he orders Cam and Bert to take some tough badniks from the Palmtree Panic Zone and drop them off in Green Hill, so when Sonic next goes to Green Hill expecting weak, outdated badniks, he'll get a bit of a surprise. They do this, but the Palmtree badniks are uncontrollable. They demolish most of the Green Hill badniks easily, and then chase Cam, Bert and the remaining Hill badniks away, claiming the zone as their own. So Cam and Bert take the remaining Green Hill badniks and customize them into seven super-powerful badniks, then take them back to Green Hill. The Seven wipe the floor with the Palmtree ones, and are left in charge of the Green Hill Zone. Then were presumably destroyed in the electromagnetic pulse in #100. I think that's it.

I loved those two, the first real anti-heroes of the whole Sonicverse. ^_^
You can see them working with DRAT, especally with them trying to use a lot of Robotnik's old plans and blue-prints to make badniks and various machines of their own, they'd need someone to maintian/build them.
But at the same time, I could also see them teaming up with Grimer. The idea of three disillusioned people trying to survive against the Freedom Fighters, Robotnik and Company and a world not so eager to forget and forgive their past crimes... There's a story in that, I'm sure of it. ^_^

I agree with Mr. zonerunner... And I love his signature! That's gotta be the funniest line in stc's history!

Personally, I was always rather fond of the person from the bank in a 'Decap Attack' strip, who when called on his advert ("Join the Transylvania Friendly Bank (TFB) today and get FREE MONEY!!") responded, "Oh, that's a fib. It's what advertising's all about."

It's good to know that Nigel Kitching learned SOMETHING during his years in advertising...
