Just walkin' home today and I suddenly remembered that when Sonic 3 came out, the mighty *cough* Right Said Fred did a song hailing the cool blue one! I remember a line about Power Sneakers, and the video had clips of the game and RSF "performing" on a set that was done up to resemble the Chemical Plant...or possibly Hydrocity...
"Wonderman"! That's what the song was called. I think. Anyone able to fill in the gaps?

I personally can't remember much of it. I do know the song was used as part of a ad campaign to promote a Sonic the Hedgehog game, (which when you look back, was quite a unique choice of band...) I'm have a go at looking, but I can't seem to find the lyrics to it OL.

Had it on Vinyl, remember the cover having some butcher job of RSF on it, and sonic just off to the edge...
I believe the video was fuelled by drugs ;D just insane... showed some footage of S3 though, which was cool

I have it on cassette, Sam. ;D Not with me at the moment, though - it's back in Swansea right now, despite listening to pop-dance almost as much as I did back in the early nineties, hehehe. A line about Power Sneakers in a song by Right Said Fred should be: "I'm too sexy for my Power Sneakers...." Get out the dodgy pants and earrings, everyone -Rich (doing his turn on the catwalk)
