Yay! Tekno! Doesn't she rule? Of course she does, even if she does become ever more boring droning on and on and on and on about... Well, you get the idea.
Anyway, Tekno, best friends with Amy, has more-or-less the same skills and is Mobius' most genius genius, being able to invent stuff like trans-world gateways and meddle with enemy weapons to turn them against the user etc.
So, enough about that, ON WITH THE QUESTIONS!
1) Is Tekno "cool" 2) What is Tekno's defining moment, in your opinion? 3) What does StC-O still have in store for Tekno?

1) She WAS very very cool when she was rockin' the whole "angry loner" thing. Then she was still quite cool when she became Amy's pun-some sidekick. Then...well...yeah.
2) I don't really know. Her COOLEST moment was kicking Metamorphia's buttocks in her first story appearance, but I can't really think of a defining one.
3) Something, hopefully. God knows what. Showing her past was a good way to start things. Her character needs building up again, and not lapsing into "handy walking talking scientific dictionary" again.

1. I think her design is. And her original conception was pretty good. I think she was a lot better before her multi-purpose scanner was brought in and she was just a general know-it-all. But then, we only really saw her while Deborah Tate was keen to make the female characters unambiguous positive role models. I sometimes wonder what Lew would have done differently if he'd have had a different editorial mandate.
2. I think she has one of the best and funniest lines in the series in her first multi-parter though. Something about "nobody ever built a bomb to last, did they?" Loved that. Because she wasn't really allowed any character development, she ended up more of a plot function than anything. Lew seemed to be hinting that she was kind of arrogant in his final run which might have been an interesting direction to go with the character.
3. I'd ask Mike, but he's busy cackling and muttering about world domination...

What is this "character discussion" thing, where the fup did you pull that one out of?
1) No.
2) Having a muscleman cast in her role in "Amy and Tekno: the movie".
3) She's written a book and she's going to have it published. This leads to a series of stories set on her book tour. She will then use the profits from sales of the book to fund her research into nuclear and chemical attack weapons.

Well, he is very talented at it. (Although truth be told, I'm wondering what CX is getting at, too.)

To be honest, I have no idea myself...
But woe betide... Start a fight with Tom and you've had it...
Anyway, back on topic.

1) Is Tekno "cool" 2) What is Tekno's defining moment, in your opinion? 3) What does StC-O still have in store for Tekno? 1) I would probably say so. I always liked the way she looks, during those times there wasn't too many bird characters going around so she seemed original. Whether or not it was deliberate or sheer coincidence, but I also liked her red and black striped jersey, exactly the same type that Dennis the Menace and Minnie the Minx always were/worn in the Beano. Personality-wise, I'm not too sure. The thing is we already have a technologically adapt character in he form of Porker, although Tekno always rubbed off as a more logical type of person than he was. 2) Probably the first few stories when she was with Shortfuse. 3) Dunno really, I am hoping she'll turn up and play a role of sorts in a story in the not too distant future.

It was the first part of "Cybernik Strikes Back" (in which Shortfuse launched an all-out war against Robotnik and Metamorphia) by Lew Stringer and Carl Flint, and I think it first saw print in STC #63.
She was pretty decent in that first story, but it all got tired quickly after that.

And you can stop stirring, too, Chaos. On topic now, please, everyone. OK, OK, sorry... I have a new question. What was Tekno's best outfit (Yes, it is hard to believe, but she has changed her clothes)?

I only remember the red and black thing. Although she wore a blue coat once, which looked a bit silly. And did she have some kind of coat in that Pritchett-illustrated story with the 'boring machine' joke?
