Silver probably could come into STCO with ease, but its questionable that he should. To be honest, I always thought one hedgehog rival was enough, the sega sonic universe and the stc one are so different, STC's being better in my opinion, I don't think it needs to go down the same road. It has enough characters as it stands.

Silver and Blaze could come from the future that is completely under Robotnik's domain. For example, Metal Sonic could be the commander in chief and Silver and Blaze could think he was Sonic in the past or something.
Silver gets bashed upon a lot because of 06, he's a stable character regardless of the game being crap. He fights differently from Sonic as well. A character doesn't need to have the same abilities to be a good rival. Shadow is good but so is Knuckles and he uses punches instead of speed.

I don't know, I think he should make a guest appearance, even if for one issue. Though STC has its own universe, it still is based on SEGAs characters. We could ask why Cream hasn't made an appearance yet. When Knuckles appeared, STC wrote him in, it wrote the S + K storyline into itself, but in its intrepretation, same with Sonic Adventure. STC-O continued its tradition with Shadow.
In regards to Silver, yes you can write him in easily, he doesn't have to make a big impact, just a one-off appearance would be okay. I don't mind... So long as STC-O doesn't completely waste his purpose like Archie did. (^_^')

That makes logical sense, but then the next game would have to be Shadow the Hedgehog, since StCO sorta did Sonic Heroes with the Neo-Metallix a couple of issues back. Then the issue of how to make a storyline involvign a currently dead character come in, but I've got a way around that.

Sonic heroes and Shadow the Hedgehog both went on about the Shadow Clones. Depending on the path you took in StH depended on how much of Shadow's truth was revealed. In one case he led himself to maintain the falsehood left at the end of SH that he ws an android for example. Still the fact it does have a amount of vagueness in Shadows SH to StH storyline does leave STC-O a gap to bring him back anyway in their own way if they choose.

The trick is for the writers to take what they need from the games without being bogged down by doing 'adaptations'. The big Heroes adap was simply a new Metallix, and some of the artists gave Vector his bling, Charmy his Marty McFly life-preserver etc. That was it - that's all we needed from Heroes. If there's a lot to inspire us, then we'll do a full adap like the Chaos saga, but Heroes had nothing worth telling. Metal Overlord my arse.

The bad journalism, attacking Sonic and the "faked" video about Sonic = evil ("the inside story") reminds me of the fake newspaper at the beginning of Team Rose, accusing Sonic of doing bad things (kidnapping Chocola and Froggy).

Every time I write on this thread I say Lightmare. And while I REALLY want to see Lightmare again cos she is my favourite baddie/goodie/mixed up rebellious daughter ever in the world of STC I shall this time mention someone else.
Metamorphia.

Metamorphia would be interesting to include, but she'd end up being a different sort of character (she's only any use because of her shape-changing abilities, and she seemed pretty adamant about giving those up).

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that Lew Stringer said that Metamorphia's story was definitely over. Even if she did come back, what could be done with her since she's no longer a shape-shifter?

True. There's not really much that could be done with Metamorphia, I guess. You couldn't really get anything dramatic out of restoring her shape-shifting powers, because that'd probably be a good thing (she could keep her preferred appearance but have superpowers anyway).

I don't see the need, she wasn't SEGA canon character and I liked her ending. If you brought her back it would spoiler her "peace" she had been granted by her new form. I don't know, she was one of the closed loose ends that shoudl stay closed.

Can anyone think of any significant loose ends that could or should be tied up? I'm curious if there are any.

Can anyone think of any significant loose ends that could or should be tied up? I'm curious if there are any. Yeeeah. Well... no, nothing major comes to mind. Why the feck were the Metallix experimenting on Mobians in #79. Also, I'd kill to see a Plunder "Origin" story, about his time as Captain Black Beak's First Mate and how he betrayed Tiberius. Following a dark trend it'd be interesting to see if Peaceful Super Sonic is still around, trapped inside Super/Sonic's head somewhere. A complete Shanazar do over. How about... why the Miracle Planet suddenly changed from a 1 year appearance cycle to every month? Maybe a brief return/mention to the Roots arc (the Knuckles one, not that Sonic one) post Robotnik? That stressy dragon in #94 & #95 Dinosaurs in Spacesuits, goodness knows what issue, strip was called Day One I think. Actually, better not, edging on religious territory. The Forgotten Badnik #140, it does say that it was a prototype, but I wouldn't put it past to have made more at his Flickies Island base. Also: The 6 or 7 Metallix (Mk 3/Knuckles Design) that appeared on Flickes Island, whatever happened to them, 1 in Sonic's Trial, 1 captured Sonic for Grimer, and 1 became scrap parts (I'm ignoring that one in The Trickster, just because).

Whatever happened to Tikal and other echidnas in ancient past, after Sonic left...? Maybe that could be somethin'? Or maybe not.

Whatever happened to Tikal in ancient past after Sonic left, before she appeared in present... Or maybe not. I think she sacrificed herself right after Sonic was sent home, merging with Chaos in order to seal him/it in that wierd box, and transfered over to Super/Sonic when he came into contact with Chaos. Re this ^ see post over page. The others? No idea. Presumably final Vichama story explains something relating to how Knuckles returns. Let's keeeeeeeep guessing. Anyway, if it doesn't then we can at least assume that the upcoming Zachary arc will reveal something. Hopefully.
Right, MAAAAAAAJOR one: Tikal brought Sonic from the future, Pochacamac was in the middle of being Mr Exposition when the Drakon so rudley interupted. Why did the feel it so vital that they bring time travel into the equasion, it's never truley explained, just glossed over with "see the future" "enemy of the Drakon", what was it they wanted Sonic to do?

The other echidnas were presumably smooshed to bits by the Drakon? Maybe Zachary will just lead them to a graveyard?! Unless STCO intends to all Dark Legion on our asses?
