Seen the clip already - looks awful. Yet another example of the Yanks' infuriating "anything you can do, we can do better" attitude. If this is a sign of things to come, the Evangelion movie is doomed.

I think it looks pretty cool. Saw the trailer in the cinema yesterday.

It looks adorable!! But I dont like what theyve done to poor Ermintrude!! >:(she looks well stupid with that toothy grin! I am pretty annoyed at the americans stealing british (well the Magic roundabout was French....) and modernising them. Whats next, Wallace and Gromit?!

Erm..I think this is British, just has an American distributor, like the Harry Potter or Bond films. Robbie Williams is the voice of Dougal, and Ian Mckellan is Zebedee, apparently.
Also, the film is called 'Sprung!' in the U.S.

Yeah, why it's called "sprung" is beyond me. I'm a huge fan of the original series, so I can't wait for this. It seems more action-based than I'd like, but WHO CARES?! It's one of my favourite childhood TV shows ever, so I'm gonna like it no matter what it's like. Aw yeah, and the animation looks absolutely stellar.

I can't remember anything about this lol. Shouldn't this be in the Eldorado Zone anyway?

Hmm, this looks pretty interesting. It may be terriable, but then again it may be great, I'll look forward to it with neutral interest.
BTW, moved the topic to the Eldorado Zone.
Edit: Hmm interesting. It seems like me and Madhair moved this topic at the same time (well me slightly later) and this has caused the topic to be moved around a lot.

maybe in America the theme will be
I like big butts and I can not lie, some other brothers can't deny, when a girl walks in with an itty-bitty waist and a big fat thing in your face you get SPRUNG!
Get it? Sprung? (sigh)

The Magic Roundabout was an hilarious kids show. I remember screaming my head off in laughter when I was around 4 - 6 years old. However, it just seems awful that they're putting something called a plot in this film. The series was just basically, as I remember, all of them were just really doing nothing and the sort of thing occasionly happens. WHAT HAVE THEY DONE?!

Empire gave it three stars, said it was a pretty good, if gentle kids film. Apparently there's a few 70s druggy culture references in there, albeit subtle.

I mean, a 13-year-old watching a "kids" show and liking it? That's what's so good about the Magic Roundabout-anyone can like it!

If they can't even get the name of the dog right in the first paragraph of their review, what makes it a credible review? Lol.
I may go see it for a laugh. Mind you, it'd be better to see a 70 minute movie of them all hanging around their roundabout doing whatever they do best ;D

Well, i've just seen it, so here's my little review...
The cast is absolutely great, and the CGI is cool as well. The first quarter or so is great, but when the actual adventure begins, the whole thing collapses. The dialogue is corny a lot of the time, and the film takes it self far too seriously for its own good. There are still one or two entertaining bits ( Zebedee's fight against ZeeBad, the Train Chase, the temple) but for the most part they've just ruined a classic TV show. What a crying, crying shame...
So, i'd say about 2/5.

I've seen the trailer at work, and frankly I am dissapointed. It seems to lack the charm the series had, and it comes across more as an action movie, since when did Zebadee do Matrix stuff?
And a review I read said it was pretty poor, but I hardly believe what I see in the papers nowadays anyway....

The reviews have been pretty mediocre, but the film isn't being regarded as total crap, thankfully.
