Holy Grail. Much more quotable. Yes I am a sad git. "What is your name?" "Sir Galahad." "What is your quest?" "I seek the Grail." "What is your favourite colour?" "Blue! ...No- AUUUUUUUUGH!" (Shouldn't this be in the Eldorado Zone?)

I have done sketches from the holy grail and the life of brien and we are doing meaning of life sketches on thursday for our school drama festival.

*is confused* Where'd the first poll go? Meh... Anyway, Grail for me. Brian is a better film, but Grail was my first encounter with the Pythons so I love it. Plus, it's so very quotable. "Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government!"

Nah, Life of Brian is by far the best. It has the best plot, the best jokes, and the best conclusion. I still think Holy Grail's ending let it down badly, it just seemed like they ran out of ideas so decided to do something completely irrelevant just for a laugh, but as an end to a film it really didn't work for me.

Camp Camp on ANFSCD is hillarious.

I've only seen Meaning of Life, The Holy Grail and Life of Brian.
The Meaning of Life was something of a letdown, imo. But Life of Brian and the Holy Grail were phenominal.
"No one is to stone anyone until I blow this whistle, do you understand? Even, and I want to make this absolutely clear! Even if they do say Jehova!" *stoned to death*
Gotta love it. ;D

I agree, Meaning of Life had some highlights ("Every sperm is sacred" springs to mind) but overall, it was a bit weak.
But although I saw Holy Grail first and probably found it funnier, I think Brian is the better film. A bolder target of satire, more interesting scenarios, and more insightful comments -- I especially like the social commentary of the "what did the Romans ever do for us?" speech. Holy Grail probably had more laughs per minute, but Brian was truly inspired in concept and execution I think.
