Great episode. Had a distinct feel of Time-Traveler's Wife to me - anyone else read that book?
Loved the bit with the bemused attendant walking in on the Doctor.
"Who the hell are you?"
"I'm the Doctor. And I've just snogged Madame du Pompadour!" *disappears cackling madly into the fireplace, then meets a horse*

Much enjoyed, nice to have a change of pace episode, didn't make a great deal of sense though...
They should have kept the horse as a companion...
Clockwork robots are of course coolness...
I'm noticing a strange trend, what is iit about Tennant that makes any girl his willing concubine, are his lips coated in honey, does he release some kind of all consuming pheromone?
I once saw a porn film with a young Roger Lloyd Pack in, true story...

I am one of the only girls I know who thinks Christopher Eccleston is fitter than David Tennant. Not that Tennant is ugly, but Eccleston = RAWR.

In Series 1 Episode 13 "The Parting Of The Ways" you don't know how gobsmacked/astonished/turned on I was when I saw Captain Jack kiss Eccleston on the lips. RAW!! ;D And as for the episode? Loved it! My most favourite yet.

Thank G-d for that. Most of the gay men I know who like Dr Who are David Tennant fanboys. And OMG JACK KISSED THE DR? Why did I miss that one?

I thoroughly disagree, I think Tennant is fitter than Eccleston. Take THAT, big ears!

Doctor Who makes me wish I had the time and inclination to sit and listen to radio drama CDs *Looks at dusty unused copy of Hitchiker's as read by Mr Fry*

You should, you're missing out on David Tennant doing belligerent nationalistic Scotsman Colonel Brinnicombe-Wood in the UNIT audios.
"Do you know why there's a crater in the middle of London? Because the Brigadier came up with this mad story about dinosaurs. He still can't prove it."
"The proof is that the world isn't overrun by bloody lizards!"

I dunno, I think this one was kind of limp... Also, am I the only one who thinks the Trigger dude can't act?

I only heard the one time Torchwood was mentioned, when Roses dad went off to talk to 'Stevie'.
Great episode though.

Yeah Great Episode. since they've got Owen form The Vicar of Dibley playing that guy, I want Dawn French to do a cameo in doctor who. I think that would end up being hillariously cool. I heard both Torchwood references, so nyah

Brilliant episode, I was on my seat the whole time when the Cybermen made their debut. And seeing that alternate universe Rose was a dog was hilarious.
Cybermen>Daleks with out a doubt.

That was IMO the best episode in the series so far. And it creeped the hell out of me in parts, especially the bit where you could hear the homeless people screaming over The Lion Sleeps Tonight. I prefer the Daleks, but the Cybermen are more frightening, probably cos of the way they're created. And yes, I heard the Torchwood references too.
