The last Slipknot song. OMG. I've loved these guys ever sinse there debue in the nineties. I have all three of the albums and it's a shame now to see that there all going there seperate ways. BTW thats why the masks are off in this new video. 'Before I Forget' is the last song to released by Slipknot.
Oh yeah just for the record Corey Taylor (the lead singer) has showed off his hansome mug before when he had that little solo stint between the second and third albums.

'Before I Forget'. Get it right! Unless it's changed from the album to single. I wasn't sure if it was before I forget or before I forget you.

Duality Surfacing Spit It Out Left Behind [Sic] Slipknot ride the very cusp of Nu-Metal, Thrash and Pop-rock And to just stoke the fires of this thread a little more, they are one of the best bands to see live. I saw them too at The Unholy Alliance, even though they got soundly thrashed by Slayer in the excellence-o-meter. Garbage couldn't provoke a similar reaction at their gigs like Slipknot can and do. You haven't lived until you've "jumped tha [censored] up with the rest of the crowd at a Slipknot gig"!

Oh god, SPIT IT OUT- It's awesome live, not the one on the Unholy Alliance tour was not as good as the London Arena gig for the DVD (Sid, the DJ came down off stage and actually puched people to get them on the floor) For those who don't know, in SPIT IT OUT, everyone croutches on the floor and starts bouncing, and we're all singing:
'Bout time I got this record straight But all the needle nose puchin' is a making me irate Sick of my [censored]in' falling on deaf ears Where're ya gonna be in the next 5 years?
(at this point, we're getting excited cos the best bit is coming up)
The fool and all the Crew, And All the polotix Get your lips ready Gonna make ya gag. Gonna make ya sick Ya got **** when they pass out the good stuff BAM! Are you sick of me? JUMP THE **** UP!
(Cue loads of jumping and moshing- great fun!)
- I was at the MEN for the Unholy Alliance tour - was in the second row from the front and I saw everything, up close and personal
*For the fans* did anyone here about how Corey came on stage with nothing but a sock on at a recent gig in Iowa?

And no, I didn't hear that story about the sock. Naughty boy. He was copying the Chilis, mind.

Vermillion is pretty special live, as is Duality
How long have you been a fan? I've been going since 2001 and still loving it- shame about Shawn's (Clown) wife - very poorly with Chrones Disease

Since 2000...I have heard their earlier stuff, though. My brother managed to track down Kill Eat Mate Repeat (I think that's what the album is called) and it's very Dillinger Escape Plan-ish. Lots of mental drumming and weird time sigs. Tis funny, I thought Slipknot were lame at first, then they grew on me. Although I'm still not keen on Iowa.

It's really rare and costs well over $200! And how can you say that about Iowa? C'mon, People = ****, DisasterPiece, Heratic Anthem, Left Behind - all awesome!

Oh yeah just for the record Corey Taylor (the lead singer) has showed off his hansome mug before when he had that little solo stint between the second and third albums. That was with Stone Sour, along with Jim Root (another member of Slipknot). As it happens, Stone Sour will be making a new album. They plan on going into the studios next January, before releasing the album next Spring/ Summer on RoadRunner Records. According to Taylor, the band have written over 30 songs for the follow-up to the group's 2002 self-titled debut, which was certified gold in March 2003 by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for shipments of more than 500,000 copies in the U.S. Thanks to pulseofthemaggots.com for that little nugget

Since I'm looking back on threads, I may as well comment on how the band performed on Sunday. 'Awesome' could be the only word I needed, but that'd be boring. Greeted with Prelude 3.0 and The Blister Exists to start things off, we know it's going to be something special. Everyone's going crazy in the pits an the crowd and singing to everything, including the new single "Before I Forget". Clown wasn't there to show him percussion talents, opting to care for his family, prompting a large round of applause. 'Duality' was dedicated to him and it was the most popular song played. Other highlights included 'Spit it Out' (similar to Azel's rendition, just no punching ), 'Wait and Bleed' and 'People=S***'. Without a doubt, everyone will remember Joey's drum kit for years to come, flipping 90 degrees allowing him to face the ground, then making a complete rotation (resting at one point while he played facing the sky)...all during a decent drum solo. Excellent.

Joey changed his kit from the IOWA album and in all honesty, the new one is really poor in comparison - it reverberates too much and the sound it not as clear I'll find out the old and new kit within a few days and edit this when I do... EDIT: Joey used Orange County, same as Blink 182, but now uses PEARL "The more you know..." ;D
