Vader's probably the scariest. But in the cool stakes, Maul reigns supreme! (as well as that sith girl with twin sabres-the one in Clone Wars)

I am the most terrifying sith lord.
But there is another and his name is Darth Sidious.

I don't think Sidious was scary. He's only the type of scary that would possible give nightmares to young children.

But he is the biggest out of all the sith(I think, tell me if I'm wrong) If by biggest, you mean the most cunning and maniplutive, then yes, you are right. But if you mean by most powerful, then no. Again, Nihilus truly trumps Sidious. I mean, come on, he's killed entire planets and is responsible for the death of many alien spieces. And he did through the Force, not with warships or space stations. Besides, this is a poll about the most terrifying Sith Lord. Which Sith actually scares you. Not a poll about the best. If that were the case, I'd vote either Vader, Revan or Traya.

I just had a thought about this... *phone rings, Vader picks up phone* Vader: Hello? *breathe* Caller: Hello, am I speaking to the head of the empire? Vader: *breathe* This is he. *breathe* Caller: I am speaking on behalf of The Stupidly Annoying Telemarketing Company and I would like to offer you- *choke!* *gasp!* *ack!* Vader: *breathe* Not interested. *puts phone down* Think of how useful it could be! ;D

Maul, that guy was nuts.. he never talked but his face was just freaky. He did so talk! Twice, but it was still talking. Anyway, Maul isn't as scary as he used to be. Put him in a fight with Nihilus, or even Grievous and he'd be cut into quarters.

Uhh... this might sound kinda dumb but some of these Sith lords are unknown to me. I know Sidious, Maul, Vader and Tyranus of course, but who are the other guys? Darth Malak - Apprentice to the Dark Lord Revan and the second Sith Lord to have "Darth" in his name, Malak was a ruthless opresser who bombed civillian worlds into submission. His intentions were painfully obvious and he lacked subtelty. Darth Traya - Traya was an old Jedi Master who became overwhelmed by the Dark Side aura on Malachor. She began recruiting Force Sensitive people and trained them the ways of the Sith in the Trayus Academy. She was eventually overthrown by her apprentice, Darth Sion and the mysterious Darth Nihilus. Both outraged by her teachings as they involved some Light Side concepts. Darth Sion - Sion is a complete wreck of the living Force. His skeleton has been [censored]tered and re-built and his flesh is scarred and cracked. Only his hatred and the Dark Side is keeping him together. He is even more brutal then Malak, but his subtle. Rather then assaulting the Republic, he sought to destroy the Jedi and only the Jedi. He used stealth and assination to acheive his ends. He also gets sick and twisted pleasure by hurting people and making them suffer before they die. Darth Nihilus - The very pinnacle of what happens when someone falls into the very depths of the Dark Side. He is a wound in the Force that drains the life force out of living things by his mere presence. He has gained a considerable magnitude of power, able to kill planets throught the Force and has comitted genocide on several worlds. And it is not something he has learned through training, it is a technique he gained through instinct. He seeks to cleanse the galaxy of all life. His words, even though he could speak normally, come out disorted and twisted whenever he speaks. It is like... the language of the Dark Side... or something among those lines. And past his skull mask, is an empty, eternal blackness.

My fear of the Dark Side has grown exponentially (which will probably actually pull me closer to it, oh the irony)... Well now that I know these folks I can cast a vote. Thank you for the info. May the Force be with you.

Okay, so these guys are obviously from the books or something (unless someone here just made them up). Those Sith Lords I mentioned are from the Knights of the Old Republic computer games, avalible on PC or XBox. Which, unlike a majority of Star Wars games, DO take place in the timeline.

I think I'm split between Vadar and Sidious. While Vadar is undoubtedly the most powerful Sith of all time he did redeem himself somewhat at the end of Episode VI by saving Luke from certain death at the hands of Sidious and effectively ending his own connections to the dark side, whereas Sidious himself does seem to be much more relentlessly evil without remorse.

Actually, I'm surprised LucasArts decided to make a villian (Darth Nihilus) even more powerful and terrible then Lord Vader. LucasArts' own Dark Jedi and Sith Lords have always been cool, but they no where near to how great George Lucas villians are. But now they do THIS with KOTOR 2, a single Sith Lord who even surpasses Vader AND Sidious in both power and evilness.
It was bold, I think. But I guess LucasArts wanted to show what the Force is truly capable of. After all, when I heard about Nihilus killing an entire planet just using the Force, Vader's words instantly hit me: "The ability to destroy an entire planet is insignificant next to the power of the Force."

Do you know what puzzled me about KOTOR. Why the Jedi Order let Revan join, if he/she was wearing that suspicious looking outfit. I mean, would you take on the path to all light side, heaven etc, a person in a black robe, with a hood, and a mask, not one part of his/her body was visible.

Uh, I think Revan started wearing those Dark Robes AFTER the Mandalorian Wars. It goes like this: When Revan was a Jedi, he wore normal Jedi Robes. After the Mandalorian Wars... and after discovering the true Sith Empire... he began wearing those Dark Robes we're familiar with. And THEN began his search for the Star Forge.

Yeah but, when you're on Dantooine on KOTOR, he's in his Dark Robes, and clearly they're not Dark Side yet because Malak's face is normal. And, why would the Jedi Order let a corrupted Jedi on the planet.

Who's to say that Malak has only begun taking his steps down the Dark Side? The Jedi Enclave was built at the start of the Jedi Civil War, it wasn't there before and during the Mandlorian Wars.

Ok. Right, I have a question you wont have an answer for.
The first Death Star took 18 years to build, and was destroyed in Episode V (or IV, I can't remember), if they take that long a time to build, then how come in Episode 6 they have one that's twice as big? Albeit it was only half of one, but it was still working.
