Hope it gets treated and she can get rid of it.
Not a fan of her music or her looks, but I'm still not a fan of people suffering either.

I feel sorry for her greatly. Not a fan of her at all, but it's a shame, I hope she gets better.

it dont affect me so I dont really care That makes no sense when you match that cold statement with your caring signature. Anyway, I pass my regards for her, and her friends and family. Hope she gets well soon.

Yeah all my sympathy to her, but the media is making it out like she's dying - she caught it early and there is a VERY good chance that she will get over it completely

it dont affect me so I dont really care sonicthecomic.proboards22.com/index.cgi?board=guide&action=display&thread=1096361840(Because the mods always get to do it. Plus, that's a maliciously cold thing to say. It's almost like saying "I hope she dies, she's done nothing for me!" I sincerely hope that if a member of your family developed cancer (God forbit, even though I don't believe in the fella), you'd suddenly know what her family are going through. That sickens me, in all honesty. I hope she makes a full recovery, if only just for herself, her family and legion of fans.

Yeah. Cancer is a serious thing ljrg, it may not affect you, but it's definitely affecting her, her family and her fans.
Even if you don't like the woman, you should still not say stuff like that.

I was gonna make a sick joke involving several of her song titles, but I think I'll hold it in. Sad news indeed, she's one of the few pop stars who I actually respect - she works very hard and always turns out great songs. She's more iconic than Madonna, IMO.

Sad news, I do hope she recovers fully, although she's not the first high-profile celebrity to be struck down with breast cancer. I'm pretty sure Anastatia had it recently too.
Seriously though ljrg, some things you just don't wanna make light of. I would say I hope someone close to you gets it as well so you can understand how it feels to have someone you care about go through that, but to be honest it's not something I would ever wish upon anyone, not even someone I hated. My fiancée's family has a history of breast cancer, so it's something I'd never hope for her to have to experience either.

Millions of people around the globe have breast cancer. Why is it so noteworthy just becuase it's Kylie Minogue?

Because she's a role model to women and girls across the world. She's well known, she's not up her own ass like a lot of other celebs, and it's the fact that it shows celebrities lives aren't all glamour and glitz and that they're mortal like everyone else.

...what the [censored] is wrong with people... Woah woah woah. I didn't mean that in an anti-minogue way. Seriously. Of course I hope she gets better and all that. My point is, I would hope that anybody with breast cancer gets better. What's the difference between Minogue and the next cancer patient?

What's the difference between Minogue and the next cancer patient? None, except that if you put a random breast cancer sufferer from Durham [random again] into the papers, it'll get a lot less attention than a 'celebrity'. It's how the world works.

I think this whole Kylie Minogue saga does serve as a valuable reminder that nobody, no matter how rich or famous, is safe from these things, and if it does raise awareness of the issue so women start checking themselves more often, there's always the chance normal everyday people can find lumps if they have them and get them checked quicker. It also goes to show that no matter how high and mighty some of these celebrities seem sometimes, at the end of the day they're only human like the rest of us!
