I read that recently. Definitely worth the wait.

Just finished Snakehead, and it was definitely worth the wait. I curse my graphic imagination at Winston Yu's fate though. *shudder*

Got the new League of Extraordinary Gentlemen book in the post today, which I believe means that I've broken several international laws. I'm quite pleased that not every reference is going over my head (liked the bit with young Jerry Cornelius).
Also got an audio version of the Maltese Falcon by Dashiell Hammett to see if it'll be nice to listen to while I'm drawing.

Black Dossier was good, Bertie Wooster meeting the dread lord Cthulhu was fantastic, but the beat novel was pretty much impenetrable. O'Neil draws really nice legs all of a sudden.
I just started Murakami's Norwegian Wood. I borrowed it from a friend who got it from a youth hostel book exchange in China. 'Emma's kitchen song pan' is written on the title page in large letters with a dying blue marker pen. I can't help but think this is somehow important.

^ That's a good one. Took me a while to get into it, but it's worth it.
I'm on Dance Dance Dance still. It's really good but I'm finding it a real struggle to finish because I keep re-reading Lost at Sea instead.

I can't remember, I've only read it once.
I've got a feeling there's a scene that involves a woman singing while she fries some bacon, but I might be wrong.

Air Babylon by Imogen Edwards-Jones. It's extremely trashy, and should be taken with a pinch of salt, but hey. Nowt wrong with a bit of trash from time to time.

American Empire: The Centre Cannot Hold by Harry Turtledove. Not as thrilling as the previous installment in the series, but it's an enjoyable read nonetheless.
When you have a story set in the 1920s, with characters frequently mentioning how well their shares are doing, you know it's a recipe for disaster.

Read Northern Lights in a couple of hours this afternoon, and half of The Subtle Knife. Golly, these books are shorter than I remembered.

Read Northern Lights in a couple of hours this afternoon, and half of The Subtle Knife. Golly, these books are shorter than I remembered. I found them a little boring myself, but everyone else I know who's read them loved them. I've just about reached 2/3 of the way through Ghosts of Onyx, by Eric Nylund, it's the fourth Halo ( based) novel and so far it is the best, I can't wait for Contact: Harvest.

Finished It yesterday. Got a little odd towards the end, but very good. I read about the last two hundred and fifty pages in pretty much one go.
Now I'm on Stardust, which I got for Christmas, woo. Only read the first chapter, but it is suitably ace. And it's the proper version, with Charles Vess' lovely piccies to look at. I spent about five minutes on the double-page spread of the market near the start, just looking at the detail and wondering how long it took him to draw all those books.

Just finished A Spot Of Bother by Mark Haddon, who wrote The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night Time. It's about mental illness and made me feel quite sad at the end, but was one of those books that makes you really care about the characters. Currently reading: One Good Turn by Kate Atkinson.

The three new Tenth Doctor novels. I'll let you know, the last 3 took a fair while to finish, didn't seem to have the 'can't put down' factor that the previous 3 did.

I've been having a look at one in a series, entitled VIP (Very Interesting People). This one was about Benjamin Disraeli.

The Two Georges. It's co-authored by Harry Turtledove and Richard Dreyfuss (the actor).
