Filch can move things, he can't touch things. The lever that he moved in the following issue is slightly different to a heavy sackful of Gold. Also, Filch moved the lever by waving his hand by it, not by touching it. So I conclude that Filch can move small objects, but not large ones.
The continuity issue with the Metallix is intriguing, but Robotnik must have known that Sonic sabotaged his equipment that would have grown to cover the Miracle Planet, and with it Sonic destroyed the Metallix that was presumably under construction at the time. So the Metallix Mk.2 is annoyed at his brother's sabotage I guess.
And as for the Ice Cap attack thing... where does it say that Knux ran into the Marxios as soon as he got back? I thought that Ice Cap attack happened, then Robotnik attacked Sonic's Hideout, compelling Knux to come down and help, then went back and met the Marxios. Granted that this is not the order in which the stories happened, but complete stories like Ice Cap attack tend to be slightly more fluid in terms of when they are set.

Seems like a feasible explanation to me. It just always stuck me as really odd when I was younger that (I got the order backwards, btw), in one issue, Kitching has Filch moving a lever, and in the next, has him claiming he can't put treasure in a sack.
And as for the Ice Cap attack thing... where does it say that Knuckles ran into the Marxios as soon as he got back?
First part of "Carnival Night Conspiracy." Begins with Knuckles in an Egg-O-Matic, flying back to the Floating Island directly after the events of "Robotnik's Revenge," which ended with him leaving in an Egg-O-Matic. The machine explodes, and he glides back down to the island, into the Carnival Night Zone, where he runs into the Marxios.
I thought that Ice Cap attack happened, then Robotnik attacked Sonic's Hideout, compelling Knuckles to come down and help, then went back and met the Marxios. Granted that this is not the order in which the stories happened, but complete stories like Ice Cap attack tend to be slightly more fluid in terms of when they are set.
I'm generally not one to play about with the order stories are presented, but that seems like a good explanation to me. ^^

Some cool stuff going on in this topic, I should check it more often Those inconsistancies and continuity errors were good finds, Chris, It's been a while since I read these stories so it's nice to get a refresher course on them again. Make sure you do cover all the stories soon though, we're approaching the issues that I lost a few years back Mike

So how did the emerald hill folk get on to the floating island? Did they do it b4 knuckles made it float again?

Knuckles made it land/float on the water (so it became a proper island) then they rode across to it on boats. After they were all on Knuckles lifted it up into the air. Knuckles can control the island like a giant ship.

Lol. Woah. I am simultaneously grateful to you guys for explaining this stuff (since I only became a *regular* reader after about isue 30), and genuinely worried that you can remember all this. Or maybe you're just cheating and looking at your back-issues. I wish I still had mine. I could do with looking at Richard Elson's art again to get some ideas for my own webcomic.

Sonic swore ?? what did he say? I cant ever remeber him swearing in STC. I remeber him saying Blo ody in an issue of the archie comic. (and mods, I know I just abused the word filter but you really have to consider the context when we do those things. In this case it was the only word I could use as it is what the discussion is about so please leave it alone)

I'll pick up the history if everyone else is knackered. You'll have to wait a week til I get home to my STC collection though.

So is nobody prepared to scan in every issue? I have 1-100, and I could do it, only Sonic stories though, if someone was prepared to do 100 onwards.

I was told by Ed Reynolds to put the summaries back on this thread and thanks for the advice Ed.
Knuckles: I'll be putting summary for Super Sonic's Debut in Issue 7 shortly.

Right I'm starting again on this STC History Lesson. Note: This History Lesson will only feature the Sonic stories, not stuff like Kid Chameleon. Feel free to help me along with this or put your own summaries up. If you are posting a correction please stait what issue it is.

Do you mean the thread that I started, if so it's been blocked by Ed, so we have to continue on this one.
I think rather than put the history on this forum, we should just make a small website between us with a huge timeline on it that we could edit anytime we want. We could just use this thread to discuss the timeline & put a link on here. What do you lot think.
