I could never get very far on those games nasty bosses. Maybe someone else knows. You got super sonic by getting all the chaos emeralds and 50 rings, what could cause hyper sonic? you had to collect all of the bigger Chaos emeralds in Sonic and Knuckles

^There were only hints on the war in StC. There was never any mention of definitave battles in the War. All we know is thatthe Drakon Empire came to Mobius after a period of monitering, took control of the Echidna's Sacred Emerald Mines and created the Chaos Emeralds. Pochacamac and his Echidnas steal the Emeralds and hold them in Megapolis City (I think that was the ruined city's name in earlier issues. And I'm assuming that's what it was.) he event of Chaos Saga occur as the Drakons make a first attack and accidently create Chaos. After that first Echidna victory, nothing else was mentioned. All we know for sure is that in the present the Drakon Empire returned to Drak without the Emerlads or any knowledge of their whereabouts, and that the Ecidna Race is now all but gone. dark R has a story on fanfiction.net saying what he thinks happed in the great war between echidnas and drakons go read it it has the bits from the chaos saga in as well it go read it

Right! Back on track methinks. I should think most people have probably visited those links, but I quite fancied doing this anyway so I shall until A) I get bored B) one of the Message Zone Humes gives me a slap and tells me to stop C) I reach #119 (the end of my collection D) total nuclear war or E) all of the above. Okay, so Chris left off after Sonic and Knuckles had downed the Death Egg in spectacular fashion in #53. So I’ll pick up from there:
After “Disaster!”, Sonic strips took a back seat till #59, with various one-off and two part stories of little importance. The slight exception is “The Rampage of Mekanik” in #57-#58, which was notable in the first re-appearance of Shortfuse after his introduction (unless you count the rubbish one-off “Knuckles Vs. The Cybernik” in #52, which we won’t ‘cos it was, well, rubbish), the first sight of Robotnik’s new base, Citadel Robotnik in the Metropolis Zone, and the first mention of the mysterious “Project Brutus”. It’s also established that Robotnik has no idea where the Emerald Hill folk have disappeared to (Knuckles has taken them to hide on the Floating Island’s Mushroom Hill Zone, remember?) Most of the action took place in Knuckles’ own strip, so we’ll concentrate on that. The Knuckles strip “Total Chaotix” ran from #53-#58, and rather good it was too. It kicked off with Knuckles returning the Master Emerald to the Emerald Chamber, and feeling rather smug that the Floating Island’s defences are at full power. He then travels to the Mushroom Hill Zone to check on the Emerald Hill folk, who are in the middle of building a new village. Checking the nearby landscape, scarred by the Death Egg’s lasers, he notices, half-buried in a crater, a strange stone doughnut-thing with ancient writing on it, which apparently tells of “a gateway to a dream country”. The thing promptly powers up and sucks him in. (Don’t’cha just hate that?) He finds himself in a strange landscape and realises it’s really “the Nightmare Country – my people’s name for the weird dimension now known as the Special Zone!” He’s promptly ambushed by the Omni-Viewer, whose information seems to be a tad out of date (whatever happened to “all-knowing”?) – he thinks Knuckles is still an ally of Robotnik. The red guy’s pleas go unheeded, and Omni unleashes “CHAOTIX – guardians of the Special Zone!” The Chaotix Crew – Vector the Crocodile, Mighty the Armadillo, Nack the Weasel, Espio the Chameleon and Charmy Bee – promptly materialise in front of poor old Knuckles. Oh dear.
Part Two starts with Robotnik’s old base, the Egg Fortress in the Special Zone, apparently abandoned…but really, really not, as demonstrated when not one but TWO Metallixes fly out, one holding some sort of doohickey, and declare “Positive fix on subject accomplished.” The action zips back to the brawl between Knuckles and the Chaotix, which Knuckles wins. Really easily. We also find out that Vector’s the boss, Mighty’s headstrong, Charmy’s dang annoying and Espio can turn invisible. Not much revealed about Nack beyond his name, though…Omni calls the scrap off as he finally gets some updated data and realises Knuckles is on the level. Just then, the two Metallixes appear in Omni’s “personal workspace” (i.e. his screen) without his permission, which should be impossible…Vector tries to enter but can’t, and one of the Metallixes activates that gadget, which sucks Omni into it like the trap from Ghostbusters! Chaotix wonder where the robots could have taken him, decide that the Egg Fortress would be the best bet, and set off with Knuckles (despite Nack’s vocal distrust of dread-man). We cut back to the Fortress, where we meet a gigantic red Metallix in a chair…the Emperor Metallix! Duh-duh-duhhhh! It’s also starting to look like the Metallixes are working by themselves, rather than under Robotnik’s orders… Omni is transferred to a big screen in the Metallixes’ control room. Outside, the Chaotix and Knuckles are examining the hull, trying to work out a way in. Mighty lives up to his name, and his impatience, and simply wallops a big hole in it. Naturally, this sets the alarms off. D’oh indeed. In the control room, the Emperor sees these intruders and sends a Metallix off to deal with them. Back with the group, Mighty and Espio are arguing as usual, when Charmy returns from scouting ahead to report the approaching robot, and they all hide in the air vent. Unfortunately, it’s a bit cramped, and Nack accidentally (yeah right) knocks a grill off, alerting the Metallix to their presence. He promptly legs it, and the Metallix blows the rest of the Chaotix out of the vent, before shooting down part of the roof on their heads. But he missed Knuckles – and the echidna is not happy… The fight is fast and brutal, and ends with Knuckles taking out his opponent via a girder to the chest. Nack reappears (wimp) and then Mighty bodily heaves the rubble off him and the others. Nack tells everyone he’s found where the Omni-Viewer is being kept, and leads them straight…to the Emperor! He’s sold them out! Weasels, eh? Naturally, now he’s lead Chaotix and Knuckles to the Metallixes he’s outlived his usefulness, and the Emperor orders, “Destroy them all.” Fully expecting this, Nack whips out a disrupter gun, which he’d shrunk down, and is promptly stunned by a Metallix. Knuckles grabs the re-grown disrupter and fires it – shutting down all the Metallixes in one shot. W00t! Vector downloads Omni onto a palmtop-thing, Mighty grabs the injured Nack, and the group scarper. A little while later, Omni drops Knuckles off on the Floating Island. But all is not sorted…back at the fortress, the Metallixes’ back-up system boots up, reviving them. They’re not dead, they now have a copy of the Omni-Viewer for their own use, and they’ve got plans to rule the world! “BWAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHHA!” as Zalgor Prigg would say.

Not yet, they hung out in the Special Zone for a bit, kidnapped Grimer, forced him to work on the Alpha device, and then used the Pirate Omni to travel to the Miracle Planet.

Like the Emperor Metallix somehow transferring his Mind into the Heores Metallix body....

I think "fell down a plot hole" is officially the most irritatingly used phrase on this board I think the Pirate Omni-Viewer was completely under the Metallix' control, using Metallix technology that was all disabled somehow. It wasn't a hole, it was just left open. Maybe it ran out... maybe it was destroyed by the electromagnetic pulse effect... who knows?

Here's another question. The last time Tails went to the special zone he and morag or whatever found their leaders having tea with the goblins. So, what happened next?

Here's another question. The last time Tails went to the special zone he and morag or whatever found their leaders having tea with the goblins. So, what happened next? What happened was that the Enchanter Kings explained that they were making a deal with the goblins. Once every year, the Enchanter Kings will obey the Goblin empire for a day only. In return the Goblins will not attack the fox villiage. If the Enchanter Kings refuse "Then there will be a long and b-l-o-o-d-y war which, after much suffering, we goblins will eventually win!" - King Roubal Morain, however, dosen't agree with this and little scurmish happens. Errol joins in the fight, but The Enchanter Kings end the fight and will continue the discussion if Tails, Morain and Errol are allowed safely. King Roubal (The goblin King) agrees to let them go peacefully and continus the deal with the Encanter Kings. Tails then leaves the nameless zone.

Thats a bit of an anticlimax. OK next question: How did they get the Kintobor computer back after Grimer had hacked into it and made it into a badnik?
