Nah, I usually get PSM2. Apart from giving Driv3r 90% (and continually printing 'exclusive verdicts' on their cover bags when it's really only another crummy preview) they're a pretty good mag.

Yeah, PSM2 is awesome. Issue 50's retrospective had me in stitches. The Jonnie Bryant/Dan D/Dan G... those were the days Has anyone heard their audio review of Frogger's Quest? Hilarious. In fact, all the audio reviews back then were hilarious. Just Jonnie making puns. For 2 hours.

I really, really thought they had secured the world-first exclusive San Andreas review this month, because of the front cover. Turns out it was just another version of their crummy newspaper-style previews of a bunch of stuff we already know.
And what's with the half-naked women on the back of the bag? It's so...random. Ah well.

PSM2, OPM2, the occasional Edge, the occasional GamesTM (even though I hate them).

Pfft. It's still better than Edge. Speaking of which, I wonder what Halo 2 is gonna get from them. If they give it a 10, then people will accuse them of being fanboys. If they give it 9, people will ride them for saying that it's inferior.

I am lazy. I don't collect game magazines, I just get my infomation from my trusty friend Mobiusman.
All I know is that NOM is a good magazine and I would collect it if I wanted to spend my money, but I prefer spending money on books. Far more constructive.

I was a religious purveyor of all of the superlative and excellent official Sega monthlies - Sega Magazine, Sega Saturn Magazine, and Dreamcast Magazine. I defy anyone here to refeute that SM/SSM possessed an absolutely inspired editorial team - their issues were continually informative, their reviews sensible and academic, and (especially true of the original SM) absolutely hilarious - reading the editorials, even today a full decade later always brings a smile to my face. Both magazines were witty and intelligent... they were written by people who had a genuine love of their subject matter. Happy times. It's struggle to discover that nowadays, and really the only magazine I've been able to retrieve that infuses its pages such such relish, joy and delight is the excellent Retro Gamer hearkening back to the era of type-in listings and before the menace of the industry-retarding 'casual gamer'. Although it's fairly expensive - 5.99 per issue - the magazine has a unique, well-sculpted format, and is a veritable education to read. I'd highly reccomend it to any gamesplayer. I'm also very fond of Edge, but I only buy it occasionally due to the constraints of my imited budget for magazines and the fact that sometimes its valued and academic intellectual tone occasionally strays into obsessive cynicism and pessimism. And they don't compliment Sega enough, damnit! I still think that it remains a valuable and insightful view of the industry though.
