Ahh, Mario 64 and Sonic 2. I've played the former once and remember it being pretty good. Sonic 2 - one of the best games ever made, but I do prefer S3&K.

Number 11: Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. GB The only non-console game on my list. Link's first adventure in handheld is a great one. Some series don't transfer that well to handheld, but L.O.Z proved to be one of the few that is as great as the console version. Link, ship wrecked, wakes up in an unknown island full of mosters, dungeons and talking animals...yes..talking animals. The story surrounds Link trying to wake the Windfish, by collecting instruments in dungeons, in hopes to get back to Hyrule. Uh oh! Crazy twist.. The entire game might be a dream. The game is fun and challenging if your not used to solving puzzles. There are some puzzles in this game that will make you insane, such as; Killing all the bad guys in a specific order (B.T.W, they don't tell you to do this). Though Link has made his way through 4 other handheld games.. this is undoubtedly the best. The game, like any other Zelda game will keep you occupied; 8 dungeons, side quests and tons of other things to do. Sadly, this is the only Zelda game that hasn't Zelda game that hasn't been brought to newer consoles (L.O.Z 2 just came out on nes series gba). But you can always pick up the original.. or the superior version DX, which is colored and has more things to do.

What's WITH that giant egg? Maybe that's the egg Valoo hatches from?

Eh? That's the egg the Wind Fish is sleeping in. Waking him up is the entire point of the game.

I am officially the only gamer never to play this. Do I get a certificate? No, I've never played, never desired to play it, don't desire to play it, and hope that the DS version will be less popular than Chovi.

Number 10: Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back. PS1 Crash Bandicoot was Playstation's first real mascot. Though he was created by Naughty dog, he soon was seen as the P.S mascot. Crash Bandicoot 1 was a big success for the P.S, but it couldn't compare to Crash 2. This game was undoubtedly the best in the entire series. It introduced new characters, new level varieties and much more. Again, it's the variety that make this game so great, you have many different types of levels; riding a polar bear through ice, a motored powered surf board, running from rocks and huge bears, jet packing and regular platforming levels. The game has a pretty basic story, Cortex is back and he tricks Crash into collecting the power crystals.. again. What makes this game better than part 3 is that every type of level is as fun as the last. The original 3 Crash games really led the way for future 3d platformers.. probably even sonic. Though the crash series has fallen into the dumps, having sold out the rights of Crash, Naughty dog is higher than ever... With the Jak series and Ratchet and clank, who is made by Insomniac an offshoot of N.D. Crash is still up and running.. Crash Twinsanity is supposed to be ok.. though I haven't played it myself.

Number 9: Sonic 3 and Knuckles : Gen. OK.. So it's actually to games, but together they make a hell of a game. definitely a fan favorite (especially around here), and it's easy to see why. For anyone.. who doesn't know anything about sonic.. and oddly wondered onto this board hoping for Sonic Youth or something (unlikely), sonic and Knuckles came with a lock on ability to combine both sonic 3 and knuckles into one game. This game has the best levels in any of the genesis games. Like all sonic games this one has some pretty good tunes. This game also introduced the entire "super sonic last level" deal with Doomsday.. an amazingly fun level. This was the first and only appearances of Hypersonic. The story is simple, but complex in ways; Eggman tricks Knuckles, the guardian of Angel Island, into thinking Sonic and tails are after the master emerald. The story amazing develops without words, just with action. I cant see why anyone would skip this game if they're a sonic fan.. since it's probably the most ported sonic game. 6 systems (including PC) have this game.. 6! Sonic 3 and knuckles is probably the one sonic game.. anyone who dislikes the newest games will compare them to. I might not post number 8 tomorrow.. since I might not be up to it. We are probably putting my 19 year old cat to sleep tomorrow.

Number 8: Megaman Legends/Megaman 64. PS. N64 Megaman is probably one of most branched out series. This is another Megaman universe. Legends takes place in a world nearly covered in water. This world has islands, which most have "mines" in which digger search for parts and power crystals. There's a legend of a great find, which these diggers are looking for. This is where Megaman comes in. Megaman is a mystery, no one knows where he came from. With his friends roll and barrel, they are searching for answers, roll's parents and treasure. This game is a lot different from the other Megaman series. There's no Dr.Willy, no Zero, no Dr.Light.. just Megaman and roll. This game introduced Megaman into 3d platforming.. which could have gone horrible wrong. The gameplay is smooth, easy and fun. The story is very interesting, especially towards the end of the game. The only real defaults of this game are that it doesn't have the greatest music and some of the mines can get boring and dreary. Megaman Legends 2 really reveals the origins of legends.. and connects it to the main story (through the X series). It's been theorized that Legends is an end consequence of Megaman X5 (if Megaman didn't save the world) like the Zero series. It's really a shame that this series out of all the Megaman series got looked over. This undoubtedly is my favorite Megaman game of all time. Also.. Megaman seems to be somewhat of a pervert in this game. ;D

Number 7: Shenmue 2. DC,XBOX. The first shenmue game was the most expensive game ever (when it was released). Part two was made along side of the original. Shenmue always had mixed reviews, but a lot of gamers think this is one of the best games ever. The story follows Ryo Hazuki on a quest of revenge. In part one his father was murdered by a man named Lan di. Part 2 begins in Hong Kong.. just as Ryo is arriving. This game is epic, interesting and beautiful. It feels like you're sucked into story as you play. The game is consistently action pack, but it doesn't need to be. The game is plenty thrilling, especially towards the end. Not to give the end away.. but the entire part in and on top of the building has to be the best sequence in gaming history. Don't go head first into this game though.. You'll need to know what happened in part 1. The Xbox version came with a movie showing all of part 1.. and though it is horrible (for people who've actually played part 1) it serves it's purpose and fills everyone else in. Though a shenmue 3 hasn't been announced. it's highly possible. Shenmue online for the PC was just announced.. though it's likely Ryo wont be playable. BTW, this game also includes sonic appearances and many classic SEGA games; afterburner, space harrior, hang on and more.

Number 6: Mario 3. NES OK.. Yes,.. I still know Mario is the bitter rival to Sonic.. but it doesn't make the games any worse. Mario 3 is called on of the greatest games ever, and I believe this too (duh). Mario was already a smash hit.. but this game really defined Mario.. Mario 1 was.. well.. Repetitive, 2 scares me.. but this one is a master piece. Mario is back trying to save the world from Bowser (who oddly loves white girls.. even though he's a dinosaur of some sort) Basically.. you run through the levels trying to complete them..until the occasional castle comes up. The fire flower is still present.. but many new powerups were added; Raccoon leaf (I don't know it's a lead) enables you to fly for a while, Frog enables you to hope and the bear enables you to turn into a statue..(I don't know why either). There's plenty of memorable worlds and levels; small/big world, dessert, ice and much more. Another thing great about these worlds. is.. ya don't have to go through every one of them if you use your whistle. My words cant do this game justice.. it's better to experience it. Luckily. it's been released on snes and GBA.. so there's no reason to not play it. Though.. paying 30 dollars for a nes game on gba is stupid.

Number 5: Kingdom Hearts. PS2 The Kingdom hearts craze has caught on by now.. but honestly.. who thought this game was going to be good. Square+Disney= Genius. Anyone who is put off by this game.. because it has Disney characters and looks childish.. is a fool. The game surrounds around a boy named Sora.. who is on a quest looking for his friends Kairi and Riku.. but it's much more complex than that. Donald and Goofy partner up with Sora.. in hopes of finding king Mickey. The story in this game is great, there's no way to avoid getting sucked into it. The combat is smooth.. it combines Zelda like action with Final Fantasy type tactics. The voice acting is very professional in this game.. it goes from Haley Joel Osman (splt?) to singers like Mandy Moore and Lance Bass (yes.. he does the voice of sephroith). Any Final fantasy will love this game.. since it has many of the big names from the series. Though a real sequel isn't out yet.. Chains Of Memories, which takes you everywhere the first one does (except tarzan's level oddly), ties up loose ends between part 1 and two. Expect Kingdom Hearts 2 in the fall of 2005.

You got some good choices in your top 15 so far. Some of them I don't like/haven't played, but some I adore (Sonic 3 + K, and Mario 64/3 to name a few).

I liked Kingdom Hearts alot, but I wouldn't call it one of the best games ever.....the Gummi Ship bits were dire, for a start. It's such an entertaining game because it's got a great story, great acting, great cutscenes, lovely music and an excellent, excellent battle system. And Lance Bass being the voice of Sephiroth was the worst idea ever, especially seeing as they did so well with the voices of Cloud, Aeris, Yuffie and Squall/Leon.

Oh, and I could say that there's a different way to spell Stuntman15, but to save myself going down the same path as him, I don't think I'll be saying it I personally didn't get on with Kingdom Hearts, but I think that's probably because the amount of time that I spend playing a PS2 isn't really very much.
