he was delibratly frozen to protect against watever happened to the rest of the echindas. The memory loss was unintentional.

Slightly off topic but I think Zach is actually from modern day rather than from the past like old knux... I dont know, he just seemed to act that way.

My idea was Knuckles more complicated. I made it so the Drakon, who infused the Emeralds with Chaos in the first place, also imprisoned six chaotic demons within te six Chaos Emeralds so no one would ever try to destroy them ensuring they're constant survival.
Smart in a way I guess.
Well, the Emeralds were broken (but you'll have to read my story if you want to see how and why) and one demon that was realised was a creature of ice.
When Ca-knucklehead fought the creature, it froze him. Their he stayed, frozen in ice, until just prior Robotnik's arrival on the Floating Island.
Well, dude... err... that's it.

Interesting idea, although it doesn't add up in the sense that Knuckles was living on the island years before Robotnik arrived. He does know the place inside out afterall.

Yeah it does. Knuckles woke up a while before Robotnik came to the Floating Island. How he woke up will be explained my story called 'Emerald' which is a prequel to 'ARK' & 'Time' but it wont be up for a while, as STC-Online has to iron out Shadow's history first.

Well it's cos you said "Just prior to Robotnik's arrival" which would suggest he wasn't awake for long but he lived alone for years on he island unless that's what you meant.

There's a lot of mileage for bad fanfics in this subject.  I hope that when the time comes to tell Knuckles' origin story (which is a HUGE story of the sort this comic exists to tell), Ed does the decent thing and asks Nigel K for advice (even though I know he was never too clear about the hows and whys himself). |

Mike's post got me thinking today and something crossed my mind  , what if Knuckles had lost his memory after being sent to the future? I thought of the story with Ebony and I thought up a crude scenario lol. Take note I haven't thought this through much hehe, but what if Pochacamac (however you spell that darnname) sent Knuckles to the future at some point in the war maybe as a way of preserving the Echidna race by assuring someone would be around to pick the pieces up. So Knuckles arrives on Mobius 8000 odd years in the future only to find his entire race gone. Maybe it's all a bit too much for him and he pretty much goes over the edge. What if for some reason or another Ebony and Pyjamas have come to the floating island after discovering it or in his grief Knuckles has left the island to wonder Mobius and stumbles across Ebony. Ebony sees how bad his grief is and knows it'll drive him to the point of insanity and so does the same thing she did to Tikal and removes his memories of what happened to him, maybe dropping a few things into his mind like the legend of his people returning. When Knuckles awakes, he's back on the island with no recollection of his past, knowing only that he must protect the Master Emerald and prepare for his peoples return. I imagine Knuckles would be TICKED if he ever found out lol. |

my theory is the time 1. else hed be a zachariy form of a white old ecidna..
and has any1 seen a real edcidna... they look like hedgehoges with long anteater snouts

Maybe Knuckles regenerates every so often? He is, after all, supposed to be the permenant guardian of the chaos emeralds and the Floating Island; who else would have protected it before him?

Maybe Knuckles was in the past and ran away from Chaos so fast he jumped through time and endded up in the future with no memory of the events of what happened. ;D Opps! Just remembered I got my own theory in my story already. |
