But past issues of Archie have already shown a possible future where Sonic has kids. One is a hedgehog, one's a squirrel. Where was the foul and horrific mutation then?

Apparently the writers think that animals of any species can crossbreed and that when they do, random segregation of genetic material doesn't mess up the species of the offspring! XD Anyways I didn't notice the "meet" chatter in this thread: the comic convention was pretty interesting, I was very surprised at the lack of cosplayers there, I was expecting swarms of them and I only spotted one girl dressed as the Joker! XD But yes, poor Nigel must have been sooo scared when we all started squealing like teenaged boy band fans!

Here's some more. Tilted Perspective! The Final Battle Mecha Madness Begins You said that Archie doesn't have evil SS. Guess again!!! Knuckles has a new relative. Maybe, if enough people ask me, I may post what is considered by many to be one of the most emotional moments in Archie Sonic history. BUT, that's for another time, and IF you all ask me to.

I still think that whoever ripped off our Super Sonic needs to die slowly. Over a fire. And if it turns out that they did that Amy/Tekno/Ebony cameo too then all the more burning.
edit: If I had a time machine I'd tell myself how much of a [censored] I am.

... So you don't want anyone to ever acknowledge how good STC was?
Why? It's a cameo - it can only be GOOD for STC.
When the issue with the cameos first came out, there were dozens of STC fans sending the artist hate mail and stuff, which is [censored]ing ridiculous, frankly.

... So you don't want anyone to ever acknowledge how good STC was? Did I say that? A fair point. I agree, completely out of order. But I do have right to an opinion yesno? I haven't got a problem with the cameo per se, it's just an annoying niggle. A very annoying niggle. But the Archie Evil Super Sonic was just crap. Utter [censored]. There was nothing in the story (then again, there never really is anything in a large selection of the stories), but I just had to ask myself "why?" what was the point in all that. Not that STC always hit the mark with it's one shots, but I just felt it was crap. The story started off decently, as in "Ooooh everyone thinks Sonic is dead but he's really been teleported across the universe." And that's it, we already knew that at the end of the last issue, the story had no progression. It started off nowhere, ran around in circles and stopped in the nowhere it began at. No real character development, other than "Woo Sonic got a spaceship!!!!" which isn't character development. He didn't even defeat Super Sonic. There was no winner to the story, and I didn't enjoy the artwork much. It was a hollow attempt at filling space, and while I probably couldn't do better I'd expect a lot more from people who do this for a living. Do you still have problems with my opinion? Would you like to argue until I change it? Ok, it was a halfway decent strip that could have used a fair bit of spit and polish, but showed promise. And the first time I saw the cameos I thought: "Fantastic!" before realizing that it was stupid and took up panel space that could have been put to much better use (actually the whole party thing culminating in Sally PMSing didn't feel like a worthwhile read in any case). Edit: bugger for typos

As interesting as it is to see their "evil" Super Sonic, it honestly holds no creepiness or real feelings of terror that I see with Fleetways. This isn't even me just being a Fleetway fan, I fully respect that I have not read Archie in the majority and could always be surprised by something (indeed I have loved some of the art I've seen showcased in this thread) just that when it comes down to it, that "evil" doesn't compare in the slightest.

Archie did an evil Super story.. geez! Anyways I had seen the "tilted" one before, there's no way that background was influenced by The Matrix!Also... Kneecaps? WTF?!

Okay, the Evil Archie Supes was a homage/rip-off of Superman, after being exposed to red chaos emeralds, Sonic and Supes sperate and blah blah blah.
The evil Supes randomly vanishes, never to be referred to again.
Thats what annoys me about Archie. They have too many references, homages, parodies and piss takes (thought they seem to be laying off that now.)

I don't see that there's any sense of fear about STC Super either, he's just a fairly generic villain

Stu, if you could be bothered to look into a post more than just face value in an effort to try and get one up on me (why you ever try is beyond me when I've made it clear I don't care) then you would be able to discern that speaking of things like that refers to a character. In this case, the fear that he generates in the other members of the cast, the demonic look and the absolute insistance by the writers that no-one is even close to matching him in any way.
That's what defines a great character, and is why he is the most loved in the comic really.

Regarding the Tekno guest appearance, there was no hate mail. A few people had a go at the comic on a message board for using the characters without the proper consent of the guy who created (and owns) those characters - a fair complaint to make. After the images circulated I heard that Lew Stringer was furious about it. Richard Elson told me that he would not have been happy if they'd used any of his. (Nigel Kitching, in his usual defeatest attitude, didn't care either way.)

Well, if the controversy made a few Archie readers dig out an STC reference to find out who the characters were, surely that could cultivate some new STC fans? (I realise using that word makes it sound like we are grown in pots but I couldnt think of a better word to use! XD) It must be infuriating seeing ones own characters being used in plain sight, without permission, mind....

The evil Super Sonic in Archie was a nod to Superman, not STC. He was caused by Sonic touching a red Chaos Emerald or somesuch comic weirdness, which was to mimic Superman being exposed to red Kryptonite.
