Nice to see the art is back to a higher standard, it was getting painful to read through the Yardley issues.
Also yay for what looks to be a good issue full of wholesome action.

I think it's worth pointing out, that when your complaining about this art... we have come a long way from I mean i'm not saying that Tracy was the best mega man artist ever... he's clearly more at home with Sonic, but when the worst art in a 12 issue run is the amazing Tracy Yardley you really have to acknowledge how far Archie Sonic's art work has come from patchy to almost always outstanding.

Hard to argue with that, but it was still painful to go from an issue with great art to the wonky megaman characters that at times looked like they were wearing diapers.
And thank you for that images, I am now 100 percent happy that I have never read the Knuckles series.
Is... Is Vector molesting that bird thing?

I would like to point out that I bought Issue 50 of Sonic Universe when it came out to give it a try and I've preordered issues 55 and 56 because they sounded fun and it's like I don't even know myself anymore.

Yeah, while freakishly mutating. I feel that I should point out that the editing of the image makes it look like Vector is sporting a big red boner.

Based on their facial expressions, Locke and Knuckles' stepdad are also getting huge boners

I really enjoyed Worlds Collide Part 9, Sonic's 250th issue. The most enjoyable action packed issue I've ever read. I like the double cover too.

Just when I thought Archie couldn't sink any lower, I got a look at the preview for Sonic issue 254 and Sonic Super Special. I'm pretty much in a really foul mood after getting my worst fears confirmed, so this could be considered a bashing rant, sorry if that kind of thing upsets you. First off, this whole Mecha-Sally arc really was nothing more then an excuse to redesign the characters, cause the very first arc right after the crossover is dedicated to the reformation of the Freedom Fighters, prepare to see Antoine and Rotor's new looks, which to me looks just like their designs from other-M. And judging from the solicits for the comic, we're headed towards a Sonic Unleashed Adaption. Secondly, judging from Sonic Super Select, the encyclopedia that was put out last year is now utterly useless as the entire comic have been rewritten into an all new universe. Speaking of which, you know that whole thing with Bunnie turning into a full blooded Mobian with zero robot parts, well, that's now undone, she's a cyborg again if my eyes isn't failing me. I'd vent about Sally, but I'm too tired of that, they want her to look more like Amy, then let em do it, I can tell the difference any day of the week no matter what they do. Well, I'm done with that comic, it was so good and had so much untapped potential in its vast castoff characters, but in the end, it just couldn't let go of the past...

Ahhh I see the mystery of the red shoe has been solved!
Hmm. Not sure what to think of this; in some ways yaay but on the other hand, there were so many loose threads before the crossover. :/

This will either be good or very bad.
Though I don't really care that Antoine's wearing new clothes. He can do that! He's got more than one pair!

For chrissakes, Modochi, you're judging the quality of the comic as a whole by what you're seeing on the covers. That's pretty childish. At least reserve judgement until you've actually read the issues themselves.
I'll tell you one thing, the artwork keeps getting better and better! I've just read Mega Man #27 and it's showing off the best artwork I've seen in any of the Mega Man or Sonic comics so far!

I've just read Mega Man #27 and it's showing off the best artwork I've seen in any of the Mega Man or Sonic comics so far! Try looking up the issues and reading the solicits that goes along with them, they tell a lot more of the changes coming then the covers, and it's not the artwork that got me worked up this time, far from it. It's partly the growing fact that the past year and a half of comic history, the Mecha-Sally arc really was nothing but an excuse to redesign Sally, Bunnie, Antoine and Rotor, all of them had already been given redesigns over the past five years to match the Sega style, so this new redesign is just pointless. I'm also annoyed that the promised changes to the comics in the form of team Fighters, Team Freedom and the Secret Freedom Fighters might just be tossed aside in favor of a return to the roots. Not to mention Bunnie's sub plot that was never explored but hinted at and the whole angst over Ant's condition that was played up several times. Its being swept away by a cosmic reset and follow up arc that sounds like its mostly meant to reintroduced the original Freedom Fighters as a team again rather than ending the Mecha-Sally arc in a satisfying manner. To me as a long time reader, it's like the comic is just saying, oh yeah, all these things you were waiting to see played out while being teased about it by the comic staff. Just forget about them, we're going back to square one with a slightly retooled storyline and a whole new setting to explore. I may end up being wrong in the end, but I still feel I have the right to get angry when something I've been following for 15 years just pulls a stunt like that.

You do. But it gets stupid when you keep reading to keep being angry. So, again, don't let the door hit you on your way out. By the point you are already saying how the entire arc plays out from covers and solicits, and were seriously saying Ian is making them look Other M again, it's clear you're being angry to be angry.

*reads past bunch of posts* Well... I am what most people would call an eternal optimist. I trust Ian will do something good (and/or AWESOME!) with whats happening in the comics now, despite what some people may think, or what it may look like is happening to the Archie-verse. As long as there is still good art and good writing in this comic, I will continue reading it. Case closed

Um... the comic hasn't even come out yet, and very little details have been given out. It might be that not all that much changes, just some careful dodging not to mention certain characters! There was so much going on previously it would be nonsensical not to address at least some of it. Here's a link on the redesigns: www.sonicstadium.org/2013/07/sonic-lost-world-comic-archie-cast-redesigned/To me it seems plausible that Bunnie could have got re-robotocised or even semi-legionised by her Uncle, and Rotor has previously used nanites to help himself back into Freedom Fighting... however Sally and Antoine's return might need a bit more explaining!

By the point you are already saying how the entire arc plays out from covers and solicits, and were seriously saying Ian is making them look Other M again, it's clear you're being angry to be angry. What is with you, I'm angry yes, because in the past two years I've had to sit through one sub par offering from Archie after another and now it looks like that two year period was for nothing. I kept reading because I hoped the comic would go back to having all the good stuff in its stories, fun, adventure, humor. But the Mecha-Sally arc was just boring since it was hijacked to tell about the secret freedom fighters getting put together, the whole Nagus sub plot went no where and team Freedom was treated as team losers. The only good things to have come out to me was the chaotix arc and the crossover, both of which had nothing to do with Mecha-Sally arc. And while I may complain about the sudden drop in art quality for the Megaman cast, I love the crossover, LOVE IT, but now these news comes right on its heels with the covers and Solicits giving off the strong notion that the past year and half have just been about pumping out sub par stories while getting the redesign for each of the satam cast members finalized, as well as the ongoing storyline that I actually wanted to see get a proper ending is now terminated.

Well, it would've been nice to see that typed instead of "I am angry because I'm forcing parallels to Other M and because I already know the Mecha Sally arc only served to redesign people because I can read the future and because everything that doesn't further the plot is mindless filler!", no?

Coming from an aesthetic perspective I actually like Bunnie and Sally's redesigns but I think Rotor is barely average and Antonie is just plain awful. I want to see how the story is handled with regards to the characters design changes but having been treated to a very good run of issues post Genesis I'm hopeful that it will be well written.

I'm surpised seeing the cover of issue 254, when issue 250 has just been released. I guess Archie plan pretty far ahead, and covers gets leaked?
