Only the quality people on my list:
Good Guys: 1. Norris Wimple 2. Tom Manx (reformed) 3. Professor Cratermass (or whatever he was called). 4. Equinox Crocodile #2 5. Keanu (the Lump)
And the bad guys who really are classy (no sarcasm this time! Well, maybe on one count...):
Bad Guys: 1. Princess Kupacius (alternatively: Kupacious, Queen Kupacious depending, presumably, on how intoxicated the writer/edtor/letterer was at the time). 2. Zorabel, the Pirate Queen (well, she was sort of a villain) 3. A banana (points if you can name the two stories/issues where bananas joined the fray. One is obvious, the other less so). 4. The Crimson Cobra (okay, he didn't actually appear in 'Back in the Special Zone' or 'Root' but he made his unique presence felt).

(Inside the STC offices, circa 1996)
Megadroid: Ugh, the deadline for the main story is tomorrow, and Elson hasn't got his lineart back yet.
Lew Stringer: Hey! I know! I could write a wacky story about.... wait for it.... BANANAS! WHOAH! HOW HILARIOUS IS THAT?
Megadroid: ...
Nigel Kitching: ...
(The story "It's raining bananas" runs. STC's sales figures reach an all time low.)
Nigel Kitching, Richard Elson, Nigel Dobbyn and Carl Flint: We quit.
Lew Stringer: STC IS MINE!
(STC hits a slump. The comic dies out. Lew Stringer eats babies.)

Lew Stringer eats babies.) I liked "It's Raining Bananas". It was an entertaining one-shot, and had probably Andy Pritchett's best line art. I feel sorry for Lew getting the blame for some of these stories. He wrote some awesome stories, but the editor didn't ask for more like those. He gets the brunt of the flak for the editorial direction of the day though. (I guess unlike Nigel he didn't try to find ways around it. But then, Nigel got fired.)
