800 points seems sound.
Extend Package is the content from DX btw. Metal Sonic, "better" graphics and surround sound.

...You have to pay more for surround sound? Sweet Christ.

Hmmm, as strange as this situation may seem, I think I can understand the reason why they've made this a separate package, at least. While the base Sonic Adventure is almost certainly just running on a Dreamcast emulator - there's no real way to do that for the DX material short of rewriting it in, essentially, an actual port. So, obviously, it's more work, and I can see that as justification for selling it on its own - it'll pay for that work.
That said, I'd like to hope that they, at the very least, include everything from the package right down to the GameGear games, and ideally have it all unlocked from the off. Also would hope that it wouldn't be any more than 400 points. 1200 Points for the whole package isn't a terrible deal.

1200 Points for the whole package isn't a terrible deal. In terms of a quality game? Absolutely agree. However, searching for "Sonic Adventure DX" on Amazon reveals: Sonic Adventure DX Director's Cut (PC CD) (2006) - Windows XP Buy new: £3.92 In that respect, it's an abysmal deal. Plus you can use Xbox controllers on your PC so one can't even really say there's the advantage of the pad (admittedly it's wired pads only, but I'd imagine many, if not most, 360 users have one wired pad). I just think that, in the year Sega want us to regain confidence in Sonic, this sort of trick is very ill-advised.

I'm pretty sure the vast majority only have wireless pads. 360s are basically sold generally with wireless pads.
However, your mistake is cancelled out that it's not just wired 360 pads that can be used on the PC.
-You can use wireless pads with a play and charge pack on your PC. -You can get a dongle that allows you to use your 360 pad wirelessly on your PC.
Either way, no one cares. This is actually the worst deal on anything ever. To be paying extra for [censored]ing surround sound is [censored]ing criminal.
And people complain about the PS3 costing too much when they "don't care" about a Blu-ray player, or that the Wii is a good deal because "graphics aren't everything!!!"
[censored] off, Sonic fans. Just [censored] off.

How many bloody times?
I already have it, I don't need to buy it again. Ye gods, Hyacinth.
And I don't have a surround sound system anyway, so it's a moot point.

Kinda want. Adventure is still the best 3D Sonic.
I would instantly buy Sonic Adventure 2: Battle if it had online multiplayer though.

So just tried it. Runs pretty smooth. DX Models (I:e Shiny and separate fingers.) But other than that its pretty much the game you played in 1999 and 2003.
The same unfinished yet still the best 3D Sonic game. SIGH.

Ahahaha I can't believe they had the balls to upload the DX package on the same day as the game itself! Sega, you truly are the greatest rip-off merchants in major video gaming today!
EDIT: I stand corrected, I forgot about Namco.

Activision, surely.
EA's been awesome as of late with good priced DLC. Just look at Mass Effect 2 and Bad Company 2. Not to mention Burnout Paradise not too long ago.

Yeah but look at their FIFA and Madden stuff.
Capcom are bad - Look at Street Fighter. all those alts on the disc. Plus what they do with DLC they release it in parts and then release a cheaper pack of it all in one.

Capcom released DLC (Bass, Hero Mode, Superhero Mode, etc.) for Mega Man 10. It was already programmed into the bloody game, you just pay to unlock it. So yeah, they're pretty bad. And all their games (while good), suffer from the "same as last time" syndrome, apart from maybe Street Fighter. But then, Street Fighter has Super Street Fighter, Turbo, etc. So it's pretty bad. Yeah, Capcom are really bad for it. Also, on the subject of Sonic Adventure? Already got it for GC, won't be buying it again. It doesn't help that the game deteriorates more and more each time I play it. I would have listed it in my top 5 before I re-bought it for GameCube (had it for PC, bought the GC version about a year ago), now I doubt it would hit top 50.

The only remake I would like to see is Sonic Adventure 2:Battle so I can play as Shadow. Maybe Shadow the Hedgehog, the story sucked cos you had to choose but you got to be Shadow. Or Heroes. Any game with Shadow playable really.
