SA2 plz.
Unless they've addressed camera problems, glitches and improved the draw distances and framerate problems, then this isn't worth bothering with. I mean, the original Sonic Adventure on the Dreamcast had a bear constant 60fps, whereas the remake really chugged.

I mean, the original Sonic Adventure on the Dreamcast had a bear constant 60fps, whereas the remake really chugged. As I recall, the original was 30fps. The remake tried for 60, but ended up chugging a lot (and had glitches on top of the ones the original had). Not that it matters much to me anyway since I don't have XBLA, but SA is a game that needs fixing, not just re-releasing. However, Sega apparently won't fix what is broken, so I reckon this will end up being a waste of money.

I wonder what the Extend Package add-on is? Hopefully it's not as filthy as it sounds.

And its FREE?! The hell? I think I would have a go, the copy I "acquired" from a friend just played the same background music over and over again. My own fault I guess... made the bosses easier to beat though, with that up-beat jingly music! It was kinda fun playing as Tails, free of that awful mech he has in SA2.

It'll only say free to be shown behind closed doors to test it. When it's actually released, they'll assign a price.

Why?
Don't get me wrong, Sonic Adventure was/has been the closest to momentum based Sonic gameplay and it probably still is the best 3D Sonic game.
But we can already play a Sonic game with a terrible camera, botched physics, random deaths and adventure fields where you can talk to people. Its called Sonic The Hedgehog.

If they can fix up the Director's Cut and, you know, finish the game, this'll be worth a punt. You'll all buy it either way.

The 'extend' package will more than likely be the mission content from DX.

You'll all buy it either way. It's true, I'm such a [censored]. Though it's still being called rumour I'd say that's proof. SegaOnline aren't usually wrong, plus Ikaruga and MvC2 were both revealed well in advance via PartnerNet. (PartnerNet = A bit like Xbox Live that debug 360s connect to.)

It's recycling if you release a new game with the old stuff. This isn't a new game, this is an old game being re-released on Xbox Live Arcade. Same as how you can get most the othr old Sonic games on there. Recycling requires someone to try and pass off old content as new. Nobody here is trying to pass this off as new.

So apparently this is happening. And its the DX Director's Cut version. HAHAHAHAaaaass if. Its the original game, as much as I want this to be the Director's Cut. Knowing SEGA, they probably think its good enough as is. Rare's Re-releasing Perfect Dark complete with improved graphics and HD and it just makes me think on why can't SEGA do that instead of focusing on a new sonic game which they will end up messing up on? wow.....now I've lost faith in Sonic games :C Nevertheless, I'll be getting it. I loved Sonic Adventure, even with its bugs and moles. its still a great game and worth playing again. Complete with Achievements.
