if America got the Megaman Anniversary collection and we didn't and if america got Megaman X Collection and we didn't then what would make the Megaman Zero Collection any different? Oh and Megaman legends got a PSP port in japan and we didn't. I really don't want to sound negative but I think its safe to say that there is no chance in hell we will ever see a UK release of Mega man Zero Collections

That's one added bonus of it being on DS, of course, if the Americans get it then we can import and not have to fart around with Action Replay discs, as with the two previous Mega Man collections.

But honestly, I really wish I needed to bother with that crap. its bad enough for making games and dont sell them but its made worse by forbidding us to play them.

The Mega Man ZERO Collection is comprised of all four Mega Man ZERO titles bundled together. The portable Mega Man® fun will begin when the title arrives in early Summer 2010.
The first Mega Man ZERO game was released in 2002 on the GameBoy® Advance. It featured Zero, a popular Capcom character that was introduced in the Mega Man® X series. The Mega Man ZERO series follows Zero through a dark and thrilling 2D action-adventure with high-quality visuals and action. In Mega Man Zero our hero awakens after 100 years of sleep to a world where innocent reploids (robots) are unjustly attacked by an organization called "Neo Arcadia". Makes me wonder why Capcom didn't do something similar with the Battle Network games. Too many of them? They can make the same amount of profits just porting/remaking them with minor add-ons? I'd buy both!

You know about the upcoming "Operation Shooting Star" Battle Network 1 remake, I trust? Yeah, which makes a collection for these games all the puzzling. Then again, it's unknown whether the remake will ever leave Japan; it was released over 2 months ago, and has still yet to get an announcement for NA or EU. Judging by how fast they announced this for both NA and Japan, you would think that they would have already done it by now.

Been playing this through today, and most of what it's made me want to do is:
A) Skip MMZ:1 because the stage setup is boring, repetitive and annoying. Having to run around and back to Ciel for every mission is just tiresome.
B) Play the actual MegaMan games 'cos they were always more fun than the X and Zero games and had way much more character...
C) Petition Capcom to make a MegaMan compilation release for the DS ideally including all 10 games...
Mind you, I do like the 'easy' mode they've included. It means I may actually complete a MegaMan game at last because I have the reflexes of a blind, paralyzed and limbless rabbit.
Edit: MegaMan Zero is officially the first MegaMan game I've ever beaten. Woo. Pity it was on piss-easy mode, but I can quite safely say that without a bucketful of health I would not have been able to beat this game. The boss patterns are easy enough, but it's impossible to not waste health just moving around the small screen fighting them.

Please to ignore the troll, folks. These games are brilliant, and if a cack-handed idiot like me can beat them, anyone can. They're completely different to the original Mega Man games, so if you want more of that buy the terrible Mega Man 9 or 10. The boss patterns aren't "simple enough", and that's the whole fun of it. In these games you die, a lot, then you learn and turn the tables. They are the best action games on the GBA, and now you can get all four of them for some piddling amount of money. Get them in, as they get my highest score of 18 thumbs up.

I dunno, I managed to work out the patterns of all the bosses in MMZ:1 on my first go at them, yet when I play MM1 or MM2, I still don't really get how I'm 'supposed' to beat a lot of those bosses without just throwing my health away running around shooting them.
I also don't really get what you could possibly have against the statement you quoted. At the end of the day, a tiny screen plus the DS Lite's not-exactly-fantastic D-pad make it pretty difficult to not wind up just falling into the boss as they energetically move around in the process of you trying to attack them. Maybe if I spent days upon days, or weeks upon weeks practising it again and again and again and again I could manage it without a massive supply of extra-health backing me up - but then it would just cease to be any fun, so I wouldn't bother. This is the main reason I haven't completed any other MegaMan game - it just becomes frustrating rather than fun and gets abandoned for something more entertaining.
Incidentally, as a DS game, it's kind of a rubbish port. What they have added is nice, but they could have put some effort into using the bottom screen for more than just showing off their promo art. The weapons menu, a map, anything - it didn't have to be the most inspired use of the second screen, just something to really justify it being on the DS other than as a reason to resell the games.
Anyways, onto 2 now. Liking the shield addition, but IMO, the graphical style of the first game was superior... am I alone in that?

Although I've not played MMZC (I intend to pick it up soon), I can tell you that that's what Mega Man is. You spend ages, with blood, sweat and tears, losing over and over again, until, one time, it clicks. You get the timing, and you thrash the boss on your 394,204,860,039th try. It's not for everyone, but that's what Mega Man is.
