Thanks, that was an objective. It's not all going to be heavy and worthy Matters Of State, future scripts will have fun in them as well! Well, the Hill Top people became 300% more disturbing now we know how the natives in #20 fit in! I figured that the natives have a similar sort of relationship to mainstream society as Red Indians do in modern America, with the division accentuated a bit further to reflect historical bitterness and that the natives themselves weren't exactly plaster saints in the past. You can mine a bit more drama from that sort of situation, instead of it being all being nice and serene. ;D

Comments & criticism are appreciated. Ahh its a good read, certainly. I like how much detail you've put into it - I particularly liked: It made me chuckle, it seems almost Hitchhiker's Guide. I think in terms of comic reading, that much detail is probably not necessary in the story but this kind of background detail is certainly useful for reading the story itself. It's nice to know who you're reading about. I have a question though, which may seem really dumb especially if its covered elsewhere: the natives are birds, so how the heck did an elephant such as Dunzi get up there?! And is his prescence a reference to elephants crossing the Alps?

I've contributed plenty to it, hell, probably more than anyone at this point. Wow, nothing like blowing your own [censored]ing trumpet. My laptop's in for repair right now, so I've got no copies of STC. I'll get updating again when it's back.

Congratulations, you now have a wiki with 400 articles to date. We've still only really scratched the surface, but it's good to see plenty of redlinks disappearing every day. Plenty more to come yet.

Once complete, the STC wiki will have entries on every single story, something the Sonic wiki doesn't have. It'll also have everything to do with Sonic the Comic Online which the Sonic network won't allow. You're right, though, that it isn't as famous, nor will it ever be. But with any luck, searching for a specific STC story might eventually be at the top of the Google (etc) listings and have just the information you need on it. </plug>

First double post in, like, 3 years. Woo and stuff. To celebrate the Wiki's 500th article, we've finally got the page for The Return of Chaotix up for your viewing pleasure. Not much of a celebration, but it's better than what the 500th page nearly was.

Only 2 and a half months since the 500th article milestone. Well, have the 1,000th page. Mega congrats to the other two major contributors and to everyone else that's posted at least one of the thousand articles. There's plenty more to write, so expect more milestones to come. =D

Nice to see there are pages covering both the scripts of mine that have seen publication. "The Prisoner" also points out an edit I didn't realise was there - the script I wrote had "the Freedom Fighters" finding the blueprints to Zachary's eye in the debris of Citadel Robotnik, whereas the finished piece seems to have "Sonic" finding it (for the sake of brevity?). It was meant as a subtle callback to "Crawling Through the Wreckage" (#103?), I can't really think Sonic would ever have gone back there, certainly don't think he would have surfaced something like that (whereas Amy, Johnny and Tails on the other hand...?). Not that I should complain about edits given how mercilessly I hacked into the original script on that story. A minor point, but the Wiki page goes to the trouble of pointing it out...

Yeah especially given you seem to have beaten Nigel Kitching, Richard Elson and Nigel Dobbyn to it...

Zoe Matt and Jamie Botham, I remember them well. Where are they now, eh, Tom?
Just noticed this is still going and growing, very cool project and an impressive body of articles. Some nice memories too, really enjoyed looking through it. Few observations:
"Drowned" -- the reason why the 2 pages are bad quality is that we lost them. I think we couldn't download them and so we had to blow up the thumbnails to regular size. Which was pretty galling but then a part of me also quite liked that we rode out the mistake. I remember getting comics where the printing had gone wrong and even though it was a mistake and not right, there was always something intriguing about seeing a finished product that had gone wrong. This is probably just me being weird.
The Ebony comments in trivia on the Drowned and Reunion articles make me smile. They sound so indignant! I didn't think I handled Ebony too badly, I enjoyed writing her even though in retrospect I wouldn't have included her at this point. Tikal on the other hand, what a disaster she was.
"Trouble in Paradise" was Tom's title. It vaguely irritates me to find out that, if it was, it was named after a song in the game because that's not a reference I would have made.
"Horror on the Haunted Hill" should, by rights, be called "Horror in the Haunted Hill Zone" but the title was too long to fit.
I'm not sure I knew Bakasam's real name before.
The title "The Lost World" was Tom's. I preferred "That Sinking Feeling" but he was editor when the script was put through.
The reason I put a thanks to Richard Elson for "RBR" is because he mentioned (I forget if he was suggesting it or not) the concept of a 'Sorceror's Apprentice' ending which I really liked.
"Just Like Old Crimes" -- it's spelled "inaugural". And I'd argue "Metropolis City" isn't really tautology. It's a City which is called Metropolis. "The metropolis city" would be tautological.
I forgot I wrote the Shenmue story. Was very pleased with that -- I loved the structure. Shame it's not returned since, I know there was a script and some art completed.
I forgot I was 'Supervising Editor'. I don't think this meant anything in practice, except that Charles and I would chat about what was going on which we'd do and did anyway. But if you set up an online comic one of the perks is giving yourself nonsense titles...
I also forgot I reviewed a game.
"The Betrayal of Mobius" Trivia - none known. Aww. How about this... Brokken was named after The Brocken mountain in Germany, which features in Faust. Seemed appropriate for a story about a Faustian pact. Okay, that's really boring trivia.
Strange that Tom's role is so downplayed. Tom founded the comic -- got the gang together, conceived of how the look should be, argued with irritating vigour for the comic's 'verisimilitude', for its and for things like starting from #224 (or #185 originally) as opposed to #1. And he was editor 2 and a bit years and had a lot of input into the story and the scripts, especially mine. I don't think he's ever really got the credit he deserves for making STC Online what it is.
