Quickest battle ever if I remember correctly was Tornado vs Terrorhurtz. Tornado had the advantage as it was quick and the only ways to immobilise it were dent the shell to get to the battery and/or flip it onto it's rear. I think it was one of the series' quarter finals. (Series 4 guess)

I assume that Chaos 2 losing out to Dantomkia was satisfying to many.

It was a pity that Dominator 2 never quite got into the final round. It's probably the only robot with an axe-type weapon that had a really good chance of it.

I forgot about 101 and Dominator 2. 101 costed £1.01p to build lol. Did anyone watch Techno Games, that featured Scuttle the fast walker. Something along those lines appeared in Series 5 of Robot Wars, or maybe Series 6. It replaced 101.
More robots:
Thermidor 2 S.M.I.D.S.Y (Sorry mate I didn't see you) lol Suicidal Tendencies 13 Black Sir Chromalot Diotoir King B3 (King Buxton) Cerberus Gravedigger

May not have been the fastest, but Hypnodisk's debut match is still one of the best around. Up till then everyone thought spin disks were weak...and they were.
Ye gods....what we were not expecting...

I think it was Hypno Disk, but I seem to remember one robot was put up against them, or someone with a spinner or similar, and was not only immobilised and destroyed but completely and utterly obliterated, as in torn apart to nothing. I seem to remember they interviewed the losing team afterwards. They had nothing left that could be even vaguely identified as a robot, just bits of essentially scrap metal that once formed it. It was entertaining yet somewhat heartbreaking at the same time.

I wonder if high ratings could feasibly lead to a new series on Dave, like what happened with Red Dwarf? Just a thought...

That was an awesome battle.

How I miss Robot Wars. I can't even see the repeats since I don't have Dave. My fave robot has to be Razer. They may not have won any of the championships but they knew how to make a stylish and deadly machine. Plus they were from Bournemouth. Gotta support the local boys.

The BBC were capable of building the House Robots because at the time the BBC had one of the best special effects companies in the whole Entertainment industry (believe it or not, the same people that worked on stuff like the old Doctor Who). Dave pulled off Red Dwarf's return through a whole load of cheap on-location shoots and green screens instead of sets. Without even a half decent budget, they'd never be capable of putting the show together again from scratch - especially since I'd assume the original House Robots have long since been scrapped.

Really? I thought Chaos won series five. Ah well, it has been a long time since I've seen any Robot Wars.

The full winners of each Series: Series 1: Roadblock Series 2: Panic Attack Series 3: Chaos 2 Series 4: Chaos 2 Series 5: Razer Series 6: Tornado Series 7: Typhoon 2 I was quite fond of the first cluster bot (As known as Gemini) they won the Pinball Warrior competition. Mace was their first robot though. I liked the Grudge matches too, like Series 2 Mace beat Chaos, then in Series 3 Chaos 2 beat Mace 2. The Gemini Cluster bot twins They won that competition.

I used to freakin love Robot Wars... mostly for Craig Charle's banter tbh and the way Jonathan Pearce gave Matilda some kind of weird personality through his commentary! I think my favourite moment was when a robot first righted itself after being flipped. The first time it was a total surprise and it was really cool... but then every robot started doing it and it became a little tiresome. IN THE PIT! IN THE PIT!!

How I miss Robot Wars. I can't even see the repeats since I don't have Dave. You should be able to get it on Digital Freeview. A freeview box only costs about £5 - £10 these days.
