It's on the XBox Marketplace, but it's nowhere to be seen on the European PlayStation Store.
EDIT: It is now and this is basically exactly how ports should be done. It's perfect and it's under a fiver. Get it. All of you. Now.

This is amazing. It's incredible how fixing the Spin Dash to make it un-crap has made this five times better.

This is the best thing that has ever happened.
I'm so happy I could actually cry. They've taken something very special to my childhood and made it better. Bravo, Sega.
One downside: lack of Toot Toot vocals. Whats that all about?

I don't miss the Toot Toot vocals much, they were crap up until the chorus anyway.

I like how they included the Japanese music :3 If there was one thing I didn't like about Sonic CD was how crappy the original soundtrack was (that's not sarcasm, I actually prefer the japanese to the "US" version). Kinda sucks how they didn't keep the lyrics for the opening cut scene. Licence issue on their own song? lol

Hey, Amy isn't in Tails' game!
Also, Tails' credits are quite cool, they use the original text font rather than the cleaned up one Sonic gets.
Unlockables require you to be good at time attack, including time attacking the Special Zone. Hahahahahaha no.

But seriously, yeah, it's not amazing. It's just, you know, it's the original, so it has to be better. There are some fun tunes in there but I prefer the US one.

But Stu. You're the fun-hater Overlord. You manufacture anti-fun.
No, I'm being daft. I prefer the JP version 'cos I like the funky, upbeat cheesiness of it. That said, as much as I love the Wacky Workbench theme, I think the US version's got that licked.

I think both soundtracks have some good and bad on them. The US one has some tracks that are really poo and unfitting but the Japanese one has some tracks that are unbelievably generic and could easily fit into any level at all. Palmtree Panic sounds lovely on both, frankly.
