I have the first 6 episodes of the 9th Doctor series on DVD now. Dalek = BRILLIANT. (Soz Retro, I know you really didn't like the way the Dalek developed feelings, but I thought it was an interesting touch myself.)

I'd like to see the Slytheen homeworld. They went there before in season 1 but we never saw it Yeah! Give us Raxxocorricofallapatorius! (I think that's how you spell it) Good lord, no. That place would stink something awful.

How about planet Spiridon? Maybe those frozen Daleks have thawed out by now...

One thing I'd like to see on Doctor Who is flashbacks of the Time War, and maybe see the Doctor return to the ruins of Gallifrey.

Looks like I might be right. The final 2 episodes - in which it's rumoured the Daleks AND the Cybermen will appear - are mainly going to be based around the Torchwood Institute. And yeah, I'd like to know more about the Time War too.

I'd love to see the Time War as well. Like seeing the 10,000 Dalek ships getting blown to [censored] and the Timelords going with them.

Was the time war actually in the original show or was it something that happened 'off screen'.
I never saw much of the originals so I don't really know much about the Time War at all. For this reason alone I'd love to see it in the new series. But oh wells.

Time War occured off screen between the movie and the current series.

It's all really quite confusing, this Time War business, given that there have been at least three seperate Time Wars and two destructions of Gallifrey.
I think that this Time War began in the Tom Baker serial Genesis of the Daleks when the Time Lords sent the Doctor to avert Davros' experiments and halt the actual creation of the villainous pepper pots. I could be wrong though.
Doctor Who has so much chronal mayhem that it can be very easy to make a mess of things sometimes.

It isn't called the "Time War", it's the GREAT Time War, technically speaking. I don't think it has any roots in the older series.

With such a series as Doctor Who, who can really say? Actually, it was ten million Dalek ships.

My usertext still stands! *is shot by hordes of angry Tennant fangirls* Samface: yeah, I've noticed that. 9th Doctor: "Grrr. Stupid humans. Always think the world revolves around you, dunno why I bother, kvetch kvetch kvetch..." 10th Doctor: "OMG YOU HUMANS ARE LIEK TOTALLY BRILLIANT! OMG I LUFF YOOOO! OMG OMG OMG!"

If the finale is supposed to be about the Cybermen VS the Daleks, I wonder why they never did it in the old series? It would have been cool to see the Doctor's two greatest foes tear each other apart (unless they teamed up against the Doctor).

OMG OMG OMG!" It's funny because it's true. Still, this is hardly the most dramatic change the Doctor's gone through. Pity Peri, who started off with the 5th Doctor and then suddenly ended up with the 6th. Now that was a dramatic change.

Talking of the 6th doctor, has anyone seen Colin Baker recently? He's aged terribly. He looks about 90, I only knew it was him because someone else pointed it out.

I think it's a great pity that Billie is leaving after this season. Especially since it's apparently becoming a habit. Is Tennant pissing off after next season? Although with Rose, and of course Jackie, Pete and Mickey ALL being key parts of the series I find it hard to consider it without them all-together. It's certainly going to be a very, very odd show without them now. Hopefully the next companion will be just as good - though I hope they don't simply copy the formula they did with Rose. Still, it's very :/....

Adric died and the Doctor got over it, didn't he?
Suffice to say, nobody really liked Adric in the first place.

The character of Rose has been very intigal to the success of the show, you have to admit. Rose serves as the character who the audience is meant to identify with, so that whenever somthing new crops up, be it dalek fleets or queen victoria, we share in Rose's wonderment. Obviously with Rose's exit for the show ("for the time being" as if to imply she could be written back in at a later date for a cameo") the writers have to choose a character which will function in a similar way, but remain distinct from the character of Rose - not to say it can't be done (check how many assistants the doc's got through already ) but it's going to be tricky getting it just right. With any luck Tennent can help to pass the torch of the show over in the same way billie did for Tennent I hope the prophecy of "death" doesn't actually mean she gets killed off - I wondered if Rose might go all "bad wolf" again instead and end up going higher lifeform on us - It'd serve as a nice close to her character arc that she's gone from shop girl to higher being and wouldn't be such a grisley end for her - thoughts?

Torchwood is the name of Captain Jack's upcoming spin-off show. I thought everyone knew that? o.0 Yeah, I know, I meant within Doctor Who. It doesn't have an actual role, does it? I was under the impression it was just shameless promotion for Jack's show.

It seemed to have a fairly big role when it blew the Sycorax out of the sky at the end of Christmas Invasion.

TAKING ALL BETS! HOW IS ROSE TYLER GONNA GO?
1) Crushed under something 2) Converted into a Cyberman 3) Become the Bad Wolf again and die/disappear 4) Blown up 5) Exterminated by Daleks 6) Just give up travelling with the Doctor 7) Suffocate 8) Kills herself by accident with sonic screwdriver
