I will watch this, but I do feel like I'm losing a tiny, tiny bit of interest. This better be a damn good season, or it might be my last.

Well it does look promising so far. I mean, for one thing, the Master is meant to be coming back, despite his apparent destruction in the movie. I always imagined the Doctor's final battle would be against the Master, it just seems right. It's gonna be a while before the Doctor's final incarnation, so I'm hoping the Master won't finally be destroyed before then. There has to be a climactic battle resulting in the death of both Time Lords, nothing else will do!
Well, aside from that, we've got another one of those cat folks appearing, more Daleks and also some big rhino fellas (Are they meant to be Sontarrans or haven't they been named?)

Too bad he won't be played by Anthony Head. His role of Mr. Finch was great and he even had the right sort of personality. Plus he looks scary when he's pissed off. ;D
Another good choice for the Master would be Christopher Lee, though most likely BBC will probably want someone younger :/.

I will watch this, but I do feel like I'm losing a tiny, tiny bit of interest. This better be a damn good season, or it might be my last. It would be better if Russell T Davies had nothing to do with it any more. He did one good season, then couldn't help himself from gaying everything up and it spilled over into an entire series of Queer as Folk with Aliens. Definitely is time to get someone else in for the job. It's a pity it's confirmed that he's doing the 4th Series.

Tom Baker would be good as the Master.
If only Donald Pleasance was still alive. He would have been a good Master.

I'm hoping for Terrence "Demon Headmaster" Hardiman to be a new Master. Yes! Mind, if John Simm is the new choice, he should be good too.

Why do I get the feeling at least one episode is going to turn into gay slash? The companion's got a gay brother, it's rumoured. And I'm gonna reopen this argument with this fine point: Last we discussed it, many people went, "Oh, well Davies is only writing what he knows", and my ace replies closed the argument, I believe. But just to reiterate, previous Who producer John Nathan Turner's a great big gay, but you wouldn't know it from watching the episodes he was involved in.

On the subject pf the Master, did I ever mention my theory that the Master was actually the Bad Wolf? I believed that Master, sealed in the Eye of Harmony in the 1996 TV movie, infected Rose when she looked into the Eye (Heart of the TARDIS, as it's been called) and spread the Bad Wolf words across time and space.
I thought that it would have been a more interesting twist.

Well tonight, the Weakest Link was a very special edition, as it featured Doctor Who stars, and what an unlikely winner it was. Camille won it after she faced Noel in the final, and I can't believe she won as she was so bad at the beginning.

Fair enough. It looks like the new series starts tonight. Unfortunately, I might have a prior engagement, but I'll have to check.

Quite a good episode to kick off the new series, probably give it 8 or 9 out of 10. Next weeks looks a bit better .
