The new doctor who is crap! Man he doesn't even compare with past Doctors! I'm so disappointed. He isn't the WORST doctor though... Oh wells at least there will be a different Doctor next season. I just watch Doctor Who to see the Darliks! They were not suppose to be in the show anymore due to their expensive copywrite (over 1 mill £££s). But due to heavy fan complaints they had to put them in. Anything else other then them in Doctor Who just bores me...

IMO, this is the best Dr Who so far. That said, I haven't seen many past ones.

give credit to all the team for reviving a dead franchise and giving decent tv to an otherwise dead saturday evening schedule.
eccelston has been phenomenal in the role only because he gives so much quirk and charm. Its a pity he only will do one series but tennant will hopefully be just as good.

alan partridge has the rights to K9!
He bought them in a fit of madness after driving up to Dundee in his bare feet and then watched shrek.
His bill oddie dressing gown receipt remains a mystery to the tax people.

DAMN YOU OZ! Chuck in a spoiler warning pal! Thats the surprise gone for me. *edits Oz's post with a HUGE spoiler idea* Anyway, that episode was exellent, the way that they protray humanity taking it is BRILLIENT and showing first contact like this in our normal timespan was an awesome idea. And Samface, frankly, I am disturbed that you heard that Ken Livingstone comment. *dies of dangerous gasses from those dashed aliens*

I only used to watch Dr Who for the Daleks. That said, I am actually really enjoying the new series so far. I DEMAND MORE DALEKS!

Man, I keep forgetting about this thread. Long story short: Episode three was excellent, episode four wasn't as good as what the series has been reaching in the last two episodes. It felt a little like a CBBC production at times, and the Slitheen looked...cheesy. I did like the UFO crash scenes though. The opening stuff with Rose was great, but the boyfriend still annoys me a little. He's just not a character I care about. Incidentally, the MP lady is Shaun's mum in 'Shaun of the Dead'.

Mmm, Penelope Wilton. She also co-starred in something on ITV1 recently, I believe.

Alan Partridge... that's that guy from The Day Today isn't it? Its steve coogan. Yeah he is mates with Morris, but in i'm alan partridge he revealed he had gone mental so he went on a bizare journey and ended up buying the rights to K9. Morris is in I'm alan partridge in the first series as a representative of the farmers union to recieve an apology from alan for insulting british farmers. not a good idea to do in east anglia!

BIG SPOILER ABOUT EPISODE 6! It's also a big dissappointment for some. Those expecting a Dalek invasion story will be a bit annoyed. The Episode is just called 'Dalek', so it gave me some nasty suspicions that have now been confirmed. The episode is just about one Dalek, on the loose aboard a space ship. The episode scripts are meant to be "brutal" and "tense", Alien style. It gives some opportunity for us to feel sorry for the Dalek (who will probably end up being scared, ganged up on and killed, but still...I WANTED AN INVASION!!
