Link looks very ill on the part with him nodding, just before it shows the title. I guess thats what a diet consisting mainly of fish'll do to you.

I am liking the looks of this game more every time I see it.

Isn't the guy shaking Link by the neck the same guy who ran the battleship mini game in Wind Waker?
Also, this looks fan-[censored]ing-tastic.

Famitsu lieks HourglassThey gave it 39/40, making it their second-highest rated Zelda ever (Wind Waker got full marks, and rightly so ). Also, luvverly boxart.

I like Link's expression, and lovely colours, but I think there's too much wasted space at the bottom half of the cover.

Looks like this boat's got some elements from the King of Red Lions. For a split second I thought I saw his head at the front.

They gave it 39/40, making it their second-highest rated Zelda ever Zelda games have consistently got high marks. A Link To The Past was in fact the first game ever to get 39/40. And Wind Waker isn't alone in getting 40/40 (the sixth game to do so) - Ocarina of Time also got 40, the first game to do so.

Looking forward to this. I wasn't a massive fan of Twilight Princess, so it'll be nice to revisit the Wind Waker universe, if nothing else.

*checks* Oh yeah, I mis-read the Wikipedia article. Still, equal-third-best Zelda ever is quite a claim.

Unless you're Nintendo, baring in mind that Nintendogs got given 40/40.

Well, Famitsu do have some bizarre tastes. Some effectively Eroge games getting some pretty startling scores. But if the game belongs to a genre you like, (and is made in Japan) and they give it a high score - it's one of the best recommendations a game can get.

Confession: I still haven't finished Twilight Princess. I find that it's starts to drag a bit, and I just can't get the motivation to complete it. This is in contrast to Wind Waker, which enthralled me for about a month until I finished it.

The ending is worth it, so much. The final battle, the conclusion of the lovely story... glorious.

I'm loosely using a guide to help me through some of the dungeons and puzzles, but because I'm playing the GameCube version and the official guide is for the Wii only, it's an absolute mind[censored] to read.

I wonder if they're ever likely to sort out the respective timelines that seem to have been spawned. From what I gather, Twilight Princess is set many years after the end of Ocarina of Time (or Wind Waker, or whatever the last game was), but also in a totally different universe.

Anything you hear about when a Zelda game is set is completly theorised (and even rather opinionated, in most cases). People just have their conceptions of what would make a good overall story or what would make sense. Me? I pretty much fall into the former. Character development over continuity, I say. I just can't stand the thought of two Ganondorf's existing in different timelines at the same time. It just doesn't do anything for his character.

Well it's fact, Aonuma confirmed Twilight Princess takes place at the same time as Wind Waker in another timeline (and since Wind Waker is in the adult timeline, Twilight Princess is in the child one).

I completed TP last night! Go Jamie! Go Jamie! Stir the puddin'! Very lovely ending. I liked the bit when Ganondorf turns into that pig monster and starts charging around, that was really intense. And also the 'tennis' game with possessed Zelda, lol. Also, this was a bit earlier in the Palace of the Twilight, but the bit with that giant stone hand trying to get the Sol orb back, was blummin' terrifying. 0_o What is it with Nintendo and giant hands?

I don't understand the adult and child timeline, allowing two games to take place at once? I think it relates to the parallel dimension theory. Anything, no matter how big or small, can change the course of a world's future. Parallel dimensions or alternate timelines and basically big 'what-ifs.' Ocarina to Wind Waker - Adult Link defeats Ganon and seals him away. Eventually, Ganon breaks free, takes over once more, and the Hero of Time does not appear. The Gods flood Hyrule after choosing a few people to go onto the mountain-tops and get things going again. The Great Sea is formed and Hyrule is sealed away.
Ocarina to Twilight Princess - Child Link beats Ganon, and Ganon is taken to stand trial in the Gerudo desert. He is executed but is immediately resurrected thanks to the Triforce of Power and sealed into the Twilight Realm after killing a sage. Twilight Princess continuity begins.

But child link doesn't beat Ganon, adult link does? It's beleived that Link tells the king of Hyrule that Ganondorf is evil and the king believes him. Link probably showed him the Triforce mark on his left hand as proof that he can be trusted. I've theorised that the Triforce mark on Link's hand also explains how Ganondorf gets the Trifoce of Power in the child timeline.

Looks like another awesome Zelda game I'll love to bits, buy instantly and get stuck on after an hour's play, leave for several months and eventually just use a walkthrough to beat. And this time multiplayer too! Awesumnitude.

I'm still stuck on Twilight Princess. It's not a lack of skill on my part, you see. I've run out of bombs, and thus can't beat certain skeletons in the Gerudo temple.
