Yeah, why wasn't Resident Evil ever released on the XBox system? It doesn't make sense at all.... Makes perfect sense. It was originally a GameCube exclusive, but Nintendo failed to give it sufficient marketing, thus, the sales were remarkably low for a game that has endless reviews giving it 10/10. Sony showed interest in this game, and paid a Hell of a lot of money to get it onto the PS2. Microsoft didn't pay any money, so they didn't get a game. Simple as that.

Oh, but isn't the next Resident Evil (with Chris) going to be on all platforms? I saw some screenshots and it looks great. Set in the middle of a day, somewhere hot. The graphics look quite good.

It's definate for the 360 and PS3, but nothing has been said of a Revolution release.

Apparently despite the screenshots Res Evil 5 hasn't even begun in development yet.

I had to laugh at Resi 4 yesterday. Was playing it yesterday and had the infinite rocket launcher with me for the 3rd play thru and just went blasting away at the idiot yokels that were standing around JUST IGNORING THE ROCKETS FLYING AROUND.

Heh. Maybe they're too backwater to know what a rocket is. Random question: what's everyone's favourite RE4 handgun? Me, I like the basic one you start off with, once it's nicely upgraded. 5xlikeliness of headshots = win. The Punisher's also pretty nifty, especially for a freebie. I don't think I'll ever unlock the Handcannon.

I had the Punisher for a long while, then I got a Red9. Boy, does this thing kick ass.
The starting handgun's 5x likelihood of a headshot worked against me when the Ganados starting splurging Plagas from their necks...all the time. (And yes, I know that Flash bombs kill them outright. But it doesn't help when you don't have any)

Hmm, looks like I'm gonna have to get me a Red 9 on my next playthrough...
What's its exclusive upgrade, by the way?

I believe it boosts the power to about 5.0, making it the most powerful handgun in the game. You have a choice between that or the Punisher, which will punch through up to four enemies as an exclusive upgrade.

I would have to say Killer 7 magnum. I got that to a power of 35. Which was cool, but ammo was limited. I sold it off to get my unlimited rockets. I've also kept the mine launcher to have a few laughs with every now and then.....

Anyone else love the Mine Thrower? THUNK! BEEP! BEEP! KABOOOM! That thing rocks. With a scope, it becomes a surprisingly tactical weapon. I would have to say Killer 7 magnum. I got that to a power of 35. Broken Butterfly goes up to 50.

Yeah, that may be true, but the Killer 7 looks cool and got me thru some tight spots before....
I used it on the monster in the hanging container and the dugeon away where you kill IT.

I need some help. As someone who has only played Resident Evil 4 I was wondering if it's worth waiting for Resident Evil Deadly Silence to come out, or if I should go ahead and just get the remake of the first one for the Gamecube?

Deadly Silence isn't out 'til the end of the month over here, so I dunno. The remake is highly recommended, though. Top game.

Sorry to bump, but it was either that or start a new thread....
Anyways, anybody besides me got a hold of Deadly Silence yet? If so, what does y'all think of it?
I've now completed Rebirth once with each character. I do like some of the extras they've put in Rebirth, but after about the fifth time, the stupid knife battles get so incredibly annoying and are all placed stupidly. To add, they've put too many enemies in too many stupid places. It's fortunate they put in the original version on the card as well, because Rebirth really is nothing special.

You'd think Deadly Silence they could have at least improved the graphics...

They did. Slightly. Not that I cared that much about graphics. They tried to make it too much like Resident Evil 4. You can't do that; they're completely different styles of games. You wouldn't make Sonic 2 like Resident Evil 4, so you shouldn't do so for Resident Evil 1.

Yes I would.
Is it worth it if you've never played the original, only the remake?

You wouldn't make Sonic 2 like Resident Evil 4 I'm pretty sure that was the thinking behind Chasing Amy...

Is it true you can pinch Jill's ass using the stylus?
*considers a purchase, but realises he still doesn't have a DS*
