It looks like it will be a good experience if you ingest a highly toxic hallucinogenic first and play some Pink Floyd over the top.

It looks like it will be a good experience if you ingest a highly toxic hallucinogenic first and play some Pink Floyd over the top. Ozric Tentacles do the job splendidly, too! So, I've got 900 spare Gamerpoints. So either 1 live arcade game or two classic games. What would you guys recommend? I thought they were like 1000 or something?

800 points for an arcade game, 400 for a classic one.
I got a card for 2100 points to buy Ninja Gaiden Black, which I thought was 1800, but turned out to be 1200. So I have some spare points.

By Classic I assume Biohazard thought you meant Xbox Originals. Anyway, not only 'classic' arcade games are 400 points. I seem to remember Symphony of the Night also being that price. It's entirely down to the devs. To be honest? If nothing's grabbing you hugely, save the points. They won't go anywhere.

Finally picked up Final Fantasy 9 for a decent price (£10), and I'm enjoying it so far more than the last 3 I bought.

That's because it's the best, most upbeat FF. FF games before and since have often got way too caught up in their own emo. FF9 never forgot where the fun was, but still managed to bring across some of the most emotional scenes in RPGs, if not in all gaming. It's epic, fantastic, and I kinda wanna start playing it again now. How far are you?

Not very- I'm running around the Evil Forest, bumping up my levels before I rescue Garnett.

I do that exact same thing. In the bit where it's just Zidane I train OCDily, until I'm level 7. Then I train with the other two until they're level 5. That headstart usually sees me through a great deal of that disc with ease.

I wish I had the time to play FF9 again. It was fantastic.

Time is also my chief concern. However, I don't dump hours into WoW, so perhaps my lack of time is more genuine than Turbo's.

For someone that doesn't like wow, you sure do talk about it a lot. I haven't been on in two weeks since my time is currently consumed with coursework. (Interim report for my honours project is due in on Monday. Yay)
Although I did spend all of last Thursday playing Portal, but I like to think of that as a reprive.

Due on Monday? Lucky man. My final draft was due last Friday. I'm tinkering with the second draft atm.

Vigilante 8's coming back in the form of an XBLA release. As the sequel was one of my favourite games on the Dreamcast, GET IN THERE. Bring on number 2 plz. v8arcade.com/

That sounds pretty cool. I am a big fan of Twisted Metal. Would you say it is a similar type of game?

From the sounds of it, they're practically the exact same game....
Vigilante 8 came down to character though. Well, that and the awesome levels.

Why is this series being revitalised when Future Cop still lies, unnoticed and unloved. [/jealous]

Hey Pom, I found something that may help you complete Chemical Plant Zone Act 2. Skip to about 3:00 in the video, the first bit is the preparation that nobody cares about.

Vigilante 8 = great fun on multiplayer, especially that scrapyard level with the aeroplane.
Also, "I MAY BE HALF HUMAN, BUT I'M. ALL. WOMAN."

I remember that quote. I was certain that I had played this game sometime before, and I remember that cyborg woman character so I guess I must have given it a try sometime down the line.
Definitely going to give the demo a download when it comes out.

Did you spend your points yet? Get Metal Arms when it comes to Originals, which it is.
Wait, do you already have Metal Arms? I don't remember

I have Metal Arms for the PS2, and a jolly good game it was too. Also, Originals cost 1200 and I only have 900.
Currently I am downloading some demos to see if any games catch my eye, but if not then I will probably just save the points.

Metal Arms is ace. I was playing it the other night with my mate. Still a bit gutted that there wont be a sequel, it would look ace on next-gen.
