The opening of Injustice AKA What if the creators of Mortal Kombat did a certain arc of Justice League? The whole game leaked a while back, some guy was doing a let's play, but it's vanished. I couldn't really follow it, but from what I could gather from fast forwarding through the videos, it's set in a different universe and one Justice League travels there to save it from it's own Justice League. And Damian is Nightwing.

I only really watched the Batman chapter. But its very Justice Lords arc from DCAU. From what I gather a few characters from Pre Nuked Metropolis get warped forward to a Post Nuked Metropolis world where the Justice League go a bit power mad and rule with an iron fist. When I found out its a sort of time travel/infinite crisis thing I was kinda turned off to be honest. It kinda makes the whole thing "And then they woke up and everything was ok." Oh and the whole roster is out now. Nothing too obscure. There's going to be 4 DLC characters one of which is going to be revealed in the vote off between Super and Bat. Lobo has been heavily hinted at over the past few months. I mean they wanted him for MK vs DCU.

Literally nothing about that appeals to me. Once again DC (or a licensed product thereof) spectacularly manage to miss the fun in a bunch of men in tights punching a bunch of other men in tights.

Bits and pieces. It wasn't too bad, but nowhere near as strong as either of its parent series. The 'dark' bits were far and away the worst bits for me. Sorry, I don't mean to piss on anyone's chips, I just like moaning when everything doesn't line up with my world view.

Dont worry about it. I mean, as much as I am a DC fan, I GET exactly what you mean. I mean its the reason why I dread and cant wait for the Justice League movie.

From what I've seen, the gameplay looks to be as rock solid as MK9 and not at all like MK vs DCU.
I think that's probably enough to garner a purchase from me. But not at launch.
I'll also wait and see if the Wii U version is any good.

Will any SD card, like those old Wii-branded ones, work on the Wii U? Just thinking I ought to back up some stuff onto one (having learned my lesson about backing up saves after the Runner 2 debacle).
EDIT: I really don't understand what's going on with my Wii U, as it's refusing to output to the TV again. Plugging the cable into a different input is only a temporary fix, and it happens regardless of which input I use, so it can't be the TV, and the Xbox works just fine. I even got a new HDMI cable for the console, but again that was only a temporary fix before the console decided it didn't want to output to the TV again. After having contacted Nintendo about it they seem to think that the console might have a problem with just outputting to that TV, a concept I find completely absurd. How is it that a games console can throw a hissy fit about displaying to any specific TV? Since when did a device become that [censored]ing picky?! None of the other devices I have connected have this problem.
Still, I suppose I don't have any choice but to send the machine to them; I'm sick of this happening. It's bizarre to think that the most cutting-edge consoles I've had are also the most busted.
DOUBLE EDIT: Okay, this is weird. I just switched it on again, wondering if the problem was something to do with the overscan (something I only just learned about, and finally explains why the image never fit properly on my screen), and it's working again. I cannot get a straight answer about this from anywhere; nobody else seems to have this problem where sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. In many ways that's even worse than the console being just flat-out broken; it's like the machine is in a bizarre limbo state where I don't know whether it's going to work or not.
TRIPLE EDIT (sorry): Spotted a second-hand Neo Geo Pocket Color and Sonic Pocket Adventure in a store. Yay or nay?
OH NO! QUADRUPLE EDIT!!!: So then, Shadow of the Eternals.
On one hand, Eternal Darkness, one of my favourite games, in an episodic crowd-funded format.
On the other, Denis Dyack. I cannot in good faith give the man a penny.

The 5th Ace Attorney game is getting a confirmed Western release across Europe and America this autumn on the 3DS.
But, there is a small catch. The game will only be available digitally through the eShop outside of Japan.
Capcom's reasoning is thus:
Which is, yeah, yet another cop out excuse from Capcom about how the fact they won't support the retail releases of the games outside of Japan is everyone else's fault - BUT - at the very least, it does mean we get the game. And in a timely fashion, too - it's only out in Japan a few months ahead of us.
First English trailer below:

So my Wii U's picture problems have arisen yet again. I've tried to counter every possibility that I can think of, but the damn problem keeps resurfacing. Looks like I've got no choice but to send it away now for repair, though I have the horrible feeling they're going to say nothing's wrong with it.

So that Project X Zone demo. What a pile of [censored]. I had a try at that, myself. I couldn't get into the gameplay at all, and I had no bloody idea who the vast majority of the characters were. What a load of rubbish. EDIT: I noticed that one of the studios behind the game is called Banpresto. The last place I remember seeing that name attached to anything was a couple of Power Rangers games on the Megadrive. I should've taken that as a bad sign right there.

Ahh yes Scorpion. My favourite DC Universe anti hero. I fondly remember his team up comic series with Hugo Strange.

Banpresto also did Namco x Capcom (which never left Japan) and is most famous for the Super Robot Wars games (which never left Japan, with a couple exceptions). The reason you wouldn't know who most of the roster is would be due to most being from Japan-exclusive games or at least games that were more successful in Japan. Notice a tendency here? If not, let me point it out: the game shouldn't leave Japan. It's too niche.

The trailer has Jin Kazama, Ryu and Akira in action poses.
It got me quite hard.
Most of the roster isn't that obscure though.

I think it comes with CoD (which I'll get rid of ASAP) and Mario. What have you got / recommend?

U (highly recommend playing that) , Sonic + All Stars Racing Transformed (recommended just purely 'cos it's Sonic) , and Pikmin 3 (which is just plain cute and awesome). I plan to get new games for it when they get released.

Alright, folks, I am tempted to join the PC gaming Master Race. I have a few questions.
1) Laptop is Irish. Not in Ireland anymore. Are pc games region locked?
2) How would that affect steam games, or would it mean nothing?
3) What kind of controller should I get? Are those affected by region?
4) These games are going to take up space on Wally, space I will need. Can I move the games somewhere else (memory stick, cloud)or do I have to clear out my laptop every now and then?

Alright, folks, I am tempted to join the PC gaming Master Race. I have a few questions. 1) Laptop is Irish. Not in Ireland anymore. Are pc games region locked? 2) How would that affect steam games, or would it mean nothing? It somewhat depends on the game itself. There's no region locking system - but if a game has online servers and you're either not allowed to access servers outside of your country/region or are in an area with no servers at all, it could deny you access. Just check what the deal is with whatever game you're buying. Steam won't prevent you playing games you bought from another region, even if they're not available in your region's store - but it will block you from buying games if they're not on your region's store. Not sure how you'd think regions would affect controllers... but, yeah, no. Best controller to get is just a wired 360 controller. Most modern PC games support it off the bat. You should be able to install most games to an external drive - though some games will still take up some data on your C Drive by saving certain things to your Documents/Apps folder. Unless you have a [censored] hot laptop, though, you're probably not going to find a great experience in PC gaming on it. You can build a mid-range PC these days that can exceed what the 360 and PS3 can achieve for about £300. You'd probably find that a better experience that really makes opting for PC over consoles a better choice.

It depends what you want to play. Most modern AAA games, as Alex says, I wouldn't even try on a laptop - I used my old laptop as a gaming platform and, despite being fairly robust, it fell apart within a year. If you're looking for less processor-intensive stuff (indie games, etc.) you should be all right though.
