really? shoudn't it be the worst since the grafic is not good as the PS3/XBOX360/ecc.? DS ports of console games are usually awful, but I'm enjoying this one. Lots of content, all of the racers from the original, solid controls, familiar music, expansive mission mode... it's a good title, a pleasant surprise.

But yeah, I can echo Madhairs comments. The NDS version of this game is pretty good, its tracks are proper mental which I can really appreachate and the annoyance causes by some of the more unfair items doesn't seen as intense as it is on the NDS Mario Kart.

Sonic R, wasn't really a great game.......let's say It's one of the worst games....so it's easy to beat that game...

I've played the demo of this which had a list of all the tracks that are in the full game. It's rather lacklustre as it's mostly Sonic tracks, and those nine Sonic tracks only have three stage themes based on one Sonic game: Sonic Heroes! Couldn't Sega put a bit more variety into the stages? Are three Curien Mansion stages really necessary? Oh Sega... you disappoint me.

I was far from disappointed. The opposite, indeed. I mean seriously, think about how some of the franchises would work as tracks.
(Still would've liked a Small Apple/Around Apple level...)

Sonic R, wasn't really a great game.......let's say It's one of the worst games....so it's easy to beat that game... I dunno, I like Sonic R (I know, shocking). The gameplay's solid (so long as nobody goes Super Sonic), I genuinely like the music if you're not taking it too seriously, and the tracks are memorable and well-designed. It's just the selection I didn't like. I've probably got the ol' rose-tinted specs going on here (second Sonic game I ever played), but I still go back for a quick blast through Resort Island on occasion. Sorry for that digression - yeah, Sumo have a Heroes fetish. It was the same in Sega Superstars Tennis (Sega were kidding themselves, really, nearly half the cast were Sonic characters), with all the stages being from Heroes. What about the Mega Drive games, the Dreamcast games, or the handhelds. The character roster's the same - with the exception of Big, the choice of Sonic characters was Sonic 101 - Sonic, Tails, Amy, Knuckles, Eggman and Shadow. I was hoping for some more obscure choices, like Metallix (or Mighty, but I never really expected that, possible legal issues). As for the rest, it's like Sega just closed their eyes and threw a dart at popular series/games. Where's Ristar? Decap Attack? Panzer Dragoon? A PLAYABLE NiGHTS?! I would say Toejam and Earl, but there are legal issues. So yeah. I'll probably pick this up eventually, but not anytime soon. Maybe when it's in the bargain bin.

Besides Big, all the characters are the ones you'd expect. I mean, surely Amy could have been replaced. Does anyone even like Amy anymore? I've not liked her in the games since, ooh... Sonic Adventure? Her voice is like nails down a blackboard...

I like how (in the DS version anyway) the challenges are all named after obscure Sega things. Especially the one called "Lucky Dime". That's pretty cheeky.

It seems they are the names for the achievements.
Loving it. Wish it was a little less Sonic and a lot more Sega.
Maybe we should compile a list of who we want in Sega Superstars Golf?
Edit: I liked Sonic R. And Sonic Riders.
Also I know who will be DLC: Pudding, MeeMee, Silver, Blaze and Werehog. Prove me wrong Sega, prove me wrong.

I had Alex Kidd built into mine. (Well, my sister's anyway). I have decided to put off getting this game, partly because of it's current price, but mainly because the Daily Mirror, a publication which has never given less than four stars for any game it's reviewed so far, gave this game two out of five. Two out of five. I know newspapers in general aren't reliable for reviewing games, often overmarking them, but when it comes to a paper awarding a game TWO OUT OF FIVE, I think "Blimey, this must be a proper piece of crap!" In spite of other, infinitely more reliable reviews, I'm still a bit sceptical. GameCentral's given it a five out of ten, understandably and predictably commenting on the similarities with Mario Kart. www.teletext.co.uk/gamecentral/features-reviews/52127c7b699dbeb7bca54955ea00b678/Sega+All-Stars+Racing+(360).aspxI am inclined to agree them on that Sega's history deserves a more befitting game than a kart racing series. As much fun as racing games are, coupled with the fact that it's one of my favourite genres, they just don't do a series much justice. I might get this when the price comes down. Then again, I never did get that tennis game either.

"Someone has just popped their All Star!"
Are you sure this game is for kids?
So, me and my friends are loving this game. And not just for the sexual innuendo.
But, no Rolling Start remix? Sad panda.

But, no Rolling Start remix? Sad panda. It's a huge oversight in general that the game barely pays lip service to its arcade racers. Considering the subject matter of this game, that's just inexcusable.

It's a shame there isn't much, but also fairly understandable at the same time. It's not as though the game's lacking in Sega fanservice.

You're right. I still have jealous eyes at the Nintendo and Capcom ultimate cluster[censored]s though.
Also: DLC all but confirmed, especially given that there might be a patch for the PS3 version hidden away in the DLC to fix the fix the Dreamarena award/trophy/whatever achievements are called on the PS3. (Edit: Ignore, should be separate now)
