So Stu's opinion is worth what fraction of a Kitching opinion? You know that's not what he meant.

Actually, interesting story. I believe that Stephanie Meyer had to go through a number of publishers, as they kept refusing her Twilight pitch, and she kept refusing to change it to their demands.
And yeah, as much as I love Mr. Kitching's stories (and he's a top bloke himself), I'd probably hold the opinions of a long-time, continuing reader in higher regard than someone who's been out of the loop for a good long while with regards to the comic.

Nigel Kitching told me he liked it. That counts for me more than anything you can say.

I've seen the movie, I know it's for kids.
Great set design, and nothing else. Dreadful movie that's bafflingly clung to by folks as some sort of legend, rather than taken on its own (lack of) merit.

I'll admit it wasint the best of films but I thought the acting was good(i still doubt it was a kid's movie seing how meny ppl get killed) Any way back on topic, dos any one rember " Vote For Me "? It was about trying to elect a newwould leader after Robotnick was defetd. I think it ended whith bouth the candidates beting the crap outta each outher in mechs.

I always thought 'Chasing Amy' is a fairly abstract strip as well... highly entertaining ("are you a parking ticket? Cos you have FINE written all over you!" heheheh! ), but definitely a little strange! How did anyone come up with that concept?! px

The dialogue was nice, it was funny, had a good resolution, and the title is one of the best in the comic's history, for me. It makes sense in context, so if one doesn't know what it's referencing, it doesn't stick out. Oh, and the art was top-notch as well. However, I dunno why you think it's so abstract, it's not a particularly zany concept, to me. Love potions aren't exactly new, and this was just taking that concept and putting STC/O characters in there.

I really liked Blade Runner and thought it was actually rather sophisticated. Not a close adaptation of the Philip K Dick novel but still retaining some of the themes. Probably a bit slow-paced for you youngsters...

One also has to remember it was made without advanced special effects. It also has some the cheesiest lines in film history: "I fink Sebastian, therefore I am." "Very good, Pris. Now show him why!" *does something mindless* and "Questions." "Uh, I dunno man. I just make eyes!" Anyways I like it - there's always something new to spot! I don't appreciate the many different versions of it, though. The point where you are re-inviting the original cast 20 odd years later to redo their stunts is just overdoing it! With regard to the Zonerunner stories - it never actually twigged it was a Bladerunner reference to me. I mean, I was like 9 years old!

Probably a bit slow-paced for you youngsters... I was watching an old episode of Doctor Who on BBC4 this evening and thinking pretty much that. "Am I impatient to the point of ignorance, or is this ridiculously slow and drawn out?"
