I am slightly worried that the Deadly Six edition has that "pre-order or while stocks last" thing... I'm assuming the DLC will be available online anyway?

I honestly havent got a clue, and it seems no one else does either. No one even knows where this'll be available to order yet x.o

There are two ways Sega does this: All Stars Racing Transformed - DLC goes up a few weeks from release. Generations/Anarchy Reigns - The DLC doesn't go up. At all.

I feel like the odd one out, the more I see of this game the more turned off I am.

This game looks boss.... I'm not a NiGHTS nut, as I only just got my hands on it!... but the gameplay looks pretty neat. Did anyone get to have a go at SoS?

I only ever played Nights on the Wii up to the second boss as I couldn't seem to work out how to kill any of the bosses (bar the first one), and I didn't really "get" what I was doing.
I had a quick google of Sonic Lost World Nights, but that didn't really tell me anything either, apart from that I'm not the fanbase that this is targeting.

Well, there are NiGHTS bosses in the DLC of this game. That's about it. I played Journey of Dreams ages ago and it really turned me off, unfortunately. Still though, a lovely wee Easter Egg for the fans, and I'll never say no to more content.

Yeah, that's the one. I was debating whether or not to go out of my way to get this but I decided against it. They'll probably release it as DLC, and if not, [censored] it, eh?

I wouldn't bank on it coming out as DLC- as far as I recall neither the extras from the All-Stars Racing Transformed Special Edition nor from the Generations Special Edition came out as DLC later.

What, the Metal Sonic/Outrun Bay and Casino Nights DLC? Both were released as standard DLC a short while later.

I think all copies in the first print run of the game are gonna be special edition, according to SEGA, so it'll basically change to the regular copy when they're all gone via pre-order or store stock, so god knows if it'll be DLC later.

Outrun Bay? Was that for SG?

mah, don't know what to think of this game. I doubt I'll be playing it anyway since I don't have the console. I'm just curious on the story. Like the fact that Sonic and Tails actually talk among themselves while playing. Sheesh, from 2-3 games a year we've gone to hardly 1 is this best? Probably but still leaves a bit of bad after taste

Sheesh, from 2-3 games a year we've gone to hardly 1 is this best? Probably but still leaves a bit of bad after taste With any luck that just means more time and resources can be dedicated to this one game though, so it can be the best they can make it. I'd rather have that than the year upon year of bugged, unfinished messes that we had back in what I call the Dark Ages (roughly Sonic Heroes to Sonic Unleashed, give or take a game or two)

Pre-ordered this, even though I don't own the console. Really [censored]ing tempted to buy the console upon its release. I really really really really really really really shouldn't. I'm that far gone. Looks amazing. Latest trailer has me absolutely pumped for this game.

I'm so tempted to get a preorder too, although I haven't see it advertised here in Prague. :s
I'll probably try and get a WiiU around Christmas time. This game looks too awesome to pass up!

Played it at Eurogamer and was very happy with the results. It's a very, very different game to Generations - even if it shares similar features from the engine - and it does kinda deserve the moniker of 'Super Sonic Lost Galaxy' due to the level design. There are plenty of route choices, though, and plenty of real platforming. The changes to Sonic's controls means he has never controlled better in a 3D environment, and yet you still get an unabashed sense of speed when running - helped a lot by the fact you don't get interrupted by the obstacles as Sonic scales them automatically.
Generations was, I would say, the best Sonic game since the Mega Drive. I'd be surprised if this didn't surpass it.

I'll admit, after seeing the newest trailers of it I'm tempted to get this game. Still not too happy about a few things in it though, but eh, it wouldn't be a Sonic game without a few bumps in the road.

So apparently this is getting some pretty disappointing reviews! My copy came in the door this morning, but I can't play it until I pick up a Wii U.

The Metacritic is mediocre, allegedly. I belive it may go down to bad.
Izuka's likely reaction: "Screw it, just make Sonic Adventure 3."

Playing the 3DS version at the moment.
Currently being chased by a snowman head that freezes you when it touches you. [censored] this game and everything to do with this game.
Jim Sterling seems to be the only one liking it so far.
