I really cant remember seeing his eyes in the game. At all.
Believe me, they are there. Clement of YouTube points them out in his mega long Sonic 06 review. I haven't seen much of Sonic Boom on Wii U or 3DS. The Wii U version should do better though, if it's got better quality and replay value in it.
Me too! I didn't care about seeing his eyes. I mean, I grew up on this dude:
I actually loved a lot of the design choices in Sonic '06. Basically all of the characters and robots looked really cool. It was just uh... everything else that was terrible.
As for Sonic Boom, I'm curious to see how it pans out, but I'm not terribly optimistic. I liked Sticks until I saw her Pinkie Pie humor. Again, I'll give it a chance, but I'm not going to be surprised if I hate it.
EDIT: Wait. There was another page of posts with trailers I'd never seen before. The show actually looks pretty good in it! Even Knuckles didn't look completely terrible when he was talking to Sonic. At least there's one thing Sega can usually be counted on for Sonic and that's giving him god damn beautiful CG movies. Sticks was conspicuously absent though. Amy barely featured too. Still not totally hopeful.
I love that snake villain in the game. Really cool design.
If anyone is interested the music playing for the sonic boom game trailer, from 0:05 - 0:34 is Phoenix Rising by audio machine. Its a shame that they didn't use the full track for the trailer though, it would have sounded a lot better!
I don't understand, did they cotton on to the fact the other designs were awful by the time they'd done Shadow's? I guess Metal Sonic's proportions kind of make a bit more sense, though it does look pretty weird since it's otherwise identical to normal Metal Sonic.
Why couldn't they have just done this from the start? If the main four characters weren't so terribly designed, the game would be at least 20% more appealing.
I mean, literally everything else about the game screams an absolute "nope", but at least we wouldn't have Steroinuckles existing in this world as an actual thing they've tried to sell to people...
