You think I'm old? Yeah a bairn is what us people from the proper north not 'Man-south-chester' can use for 'child' or suchlike. The Scotish people use it too. Gotta get on topic. Excuse me Jimbo. Us Scottish INVENTED that word. You lot stole it cos you wanna be cool like us. ;D *ego swells to make heads explode very very quickly* I actually tried reading Harry Potter the other night...couldnt stand it to be honest.

*see's Harry Potter topic* + picture-thing Now, now, Retro. You've used that processor before, you can't dig up the same joke twice. Seen all 3 films, I'll agree that the third was by far the best. Haven't read any of the books though.

There are 6 books to the Lord of the Rings. 2 to each main section. *teh descriptive writing makes the mind melt* Hmm...dunno I just really hate the idea of "Harry potter and his friends having fun at wizards school and having rivetting adventures of peril" that it contains. Its a wee bitty childish reading for my tastes.

err.. so... yeah. soooo.. deaths, anyone? is there actually a confirmed death in the novel? There are more deaths, but not specified for this novel. I'd think so, though. Like I said, my money's on Dumbledore. And maybe Hagrid. Hmm...dunno I just really hate the idea of "Harry potter and his friends having fun at wizards school and having rivetting adventures of peril" that it contains. Its a wee bitty childish reading for my tastes. Well, it's really more "abused orphan is forced into a confrontation with vicious, merciless madman who could probably blow up the world if he wanted to, which has been foretold for donkey's years and is the reason his parents are dead", but whatever.

Hands off. She's mine. In three or four years' time. Master Samface, have you no shame!? Its against the Jedi Code! XD It does become more of an adult fantasy as Harry grows older. Near the end of the fifth book, it leaves the school, concentrates... somewhere else. And a close friend of Harry actually DIES. ...uh, no. Its not one of the kids. That'd be cruel.

Lol. That's class. I've finally seen the trailer. Jesus, Harry and Ron should get a haircut. But... Hermionie... man... christ... she's... I mean, Emma Watson is... wow. Anyway, to the subject of Half-Blood Prince... does anyone think it might delve even deeper into Voldemort's past? I mean, I've always had this feeling that not all of his history was explained in Chamber of Secrets. Asides from that, I regret reading Goblet of Fire and Order of the Pheonix before watching the films. I'm probably going to end up not enjoying this film too much and as it will have to leave out several scenes as well as characters and locations will NOT turn out like how I imagined them. Also, it makes the books more enjoyable. Reading all those scenes in the first three that were never put in the films was pretty pleasent.

Yes. Yes I do. Also, fifteen days to go! I've started re-reading the others in preperation. *is geek* I'm working as a mark-checker for an exam board at the mo, checking that the scores given all add up, and today I came across a fellow whose surname was Tonks. This made me happy.

Tonks? XD Oh dear, I know I shouldnt laugh but... Neways, yes I read the books 1st and when I went to see the Prisoner of Azkaban I had high hopes (Its the book I like the most, in all honesty I only got into reading them through my best friend whos obsessed with HP! Before then I wouldnt go near the books with a 9ft pole!) I still have to read The Order of the Phoenix and of course the Half Blood Prince is out soon (any idea what its about?) The film leaves loads out for the simple fact that it has to. I reckon most of the Goblet of Fire will be left out, for a start the Dursleys arent going to be in but we've seen enough of Harry accidentally doing funny things to them! The thing that bugged me the most about the last film was that the change of director meant a change of style of course, but the whole effing school changed! Hagrids house had moved down a huge hill and a huge pendulum had appeared in the foyer of Hogwarts! Magic I guess but I didnt like it. I prefer the 1st two films even though they Prisoner of Azkaban was more accessible as a film. Oh and Ive seen that StarWars/HP thing before somewhere, great isnt it?! hee hee...ooh btw for a laugh check out this guys parody, it had me in stitches: www.deviantart.com/deviation/19204490/(TT fans may also be interested in his gallery! )

I've read all the books, the latest one I took to reading for a whole day to finish (cos yes I am that SAD) my fave film is the third, it has werewolves, dementors and the mysterious, complex, dangerous thing that is time travel

To prevent the inevitable vitriol and recriminations that would follow inadvertent spoilers from people who are reading at different speeds, I think it would be wise to start a separate HBP discussion thread, and keep this one for the films and books up to OOTP.

www.mythomania.ru/upload/gallery/pic04_1.jpgI came across this while browsing the web. I think it's unofficial stuff, but if Voldelmort is going to dress like that for the remainder of the films, I will crucify the costume designer.

Meh. I just didn't like seeing Voldemort wearing 1950's rock star clothes. He'd look more menacing wearing black robes. Espically with the hood up.

Well, who'd want to look menacing in this day and age? If you stick your hood up you get banned from shopping centres and shot by the police. (Ooh, satire! )

Just expressing my thoughts. Anyway, if Voldemort doesn't look menacing, he'll be the laughing stock of the other Dark Lords. (Except Darth Nihilus. He never laughs. He's that evil!)

Raise your hand if you saw this coming. Ahhh, thats actually kinda sweet, they look like their at their leavers ball or something. Y'know the older they get the more the three cast members seem to be turning into normal functioning adults a million miles away from the disasters in human form presented by most grown up child stars. Good on them (and you too Rupert Grinch ya' big stoner ). On another note I just started Half-Blood Prince and found these lyrics - Is this the filth Rowling is feeding our children ;D

Who knows...?
Anyway, I often half-joked to myself about Dan and Emma getting together... But I never thought it would actually happen.

Ya just jealous I found the info first! You know what scares me? She looks exactly like how I imagined her in the books.
