That's not Lord Voldemort. That's his estranged brother, Darth Nihilus.

This is going to be the best Potter film. Easily.
I already hate Umbridge.
"It's exciting breaking the rules isn't it?" ".......Who are you and what have you done with Hermione Granger?"

it will suck just like the last 2 films No. The new trailer looks excellent, and the previous two installments really weren't that bad at all. I know, who'd have thought it eh? Oh, and Voldemort in a suit = instant win. Hope they make it his full-time attire.

I saw a broomstick-based high five. That and Voldemort's natty threads make this already great.

Hmm...dunno I just really hate the idea of "Harry potter and his friends having fun at wizards school and having riveting adventures of peril" that it contains. Its a wee bitty childish reading for my tastes. Hmmmm this really is arguable. I grew up reading the original Harry Potter books, virtually at the age in which the characters we're themselves so I could easily relate to it. However going back to book 1 and reading it is really hard because the series has matured so much that I can't really relate to Harry back when he was eleven. Plus forgive if I am wrong but this is my opinion, 'cause my enthusiasm for the series was lost as soon as I read Book 5 i.e the order of the phoenix, and the one that's being released in theater's soon. Now I've debated to whether I wasn't captured in the series anymore because of it's childish nature, or whether I'd matured as reader because by now I had read the entire LOTR Trilogy, The Silmarrilion, Stephen King etc. I can generally conclude though that I believe the series has stopped impressing me ever since it failed to deliver anything knew to me. OK Book 1 we're introduced to the main characters, the school etc, Book 2 we delve into Voldemort's past, Book 3 is a standout in that it's plot is brilliantly crafted and keeps you guessing right to the end, and finally Book 4 which has an almighty climax. After that I don't think Rowling has had anywhere to go. She's sort of built the series up so much theres nowhere to go except down. I'm fearing that the Deathly Hallows won't be able to live up to the high expectations that are wanted from it's audience.

It has so far been the worst film. Though I did enjoy the Prisoner of Azkaban. The thing with goblet that they're was so much to cramb in that it was just climax after climax and overall there was too much to take in, in the space of two hours. I'm hoping Phoenix does the opposite and makes the film better than the book.

Admittedly, Harry Potter isn't really the series that I would want to go back and re-read very often.

I think they're the most re-readable books I've ever read, actually. Especially just after one comes out - Rowling is excellent at all sorts of pointless little details that make more sense after a later book. Add nothing to the main story, but make the world that bit more complete.

Hardly "sucked" either, though.

So far, the 3rd film's been the best, and the 4th was only a bit bad, and that was down to it having to cram in way too much. Anyway, I think the argument that anyone is 'too mature' for Harry Potter surely makes that person seem too immature to be taken seriously That whole 2 kool 4 skool attitude grates my nerves. And bones. And things that grate. Finding enjoyment in things primarily for kids is but step one of becoming a peadophile finding your inner child. Or at least, getting over yourself enough to enjoy all forms of entertainment. Disney films are just as awesome as The Shining yadda yadda. Enough mindless ranting. For now.

Considering OOTP was the weakest book in the series, I actually think this has the potential to be the best film so far. Less to cram in, etc.
I'm going to start re-reading HBP again this week, in preparation for DH.
