Not enough spoiler text in use! I had my suspicions, but I was told Ada was dead in Resi 2! Evil people!

I heard that it's not coming out on PS2 anymore and the gamecube one has the Ada mission. Um, no...the PS2 version is out at the end of the year, and it has several completely new Ada missions (as well as Assignment Ada from the Cube version.) Those figures rock! I hope there's a Regenerator one. It is [censored], it should only be on gamecube anyway because ps2 get everything. I thought I read that it was not to come out on ps2, probely lieing. Anyway I heard it is only coming out on ps2 because so many ps2 owners requested it to be, but I bet alot of gamecube owners have requested for gta but nothing has happened.

Not enough spoiler text in use! I had my suspicions, but I was told Ada was dead in Resi 2! Evil people! Or! It might be a good idea to just not come into a Resident Evil 4 thread, especially as the game's been out for four months! And it was Ada who threw the rocket launcher to Leon at the end of Resi 2, confirming her non-dead-ness.

Something I'd like to know is how did she survive that fall from the railing/getting diced by Mr. X? And how did she escape the explosion when the lab self-destructed.

I already knew that, it's just that it was never confirmed....how were we supposed to know it wasn't Sherry?

Capcom openly said that Ada was in the game about three months before it came out. Also, one of Nemesis' Epilogue screens informed you she wasn't dead. Sheesh.

It's sad to say that I was slightly disappointed with Resident Evil 4. I'm really kicking myself about this because I'm trying to make myself like it but nothing seems to work. Usually when I pick up a game a get enjoyment out of it. Whether it be Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid, or Resident Evil. Resi 4 just hasn't really done that for me and I have no idea. It has great and interesting new game play, a brilliant storyline, but it just doesn't seem to be giving off that special aura anymore.

More RE5 news and its disapointing to those who are thinking about getting a revolution... Resident Evil 5 is not planned for the Revolution but is confirmed for the PS3 and Xbox360. www.aussie-nintendo.com/full.php?subaction=showfull&id=1121903167&archive=&start_from=&ucat=4&Although I cant feel much sympathy for nintendo really thats what happens when you keep your cards too close to your chest. But then again... they said that RE4 was going to be a Gamecube exclusive and yet in November the PS2 version comes our way... so who knows! But one thing for Resident Evil isnt this the only game series so far that has found its way onto the PSX/Saturn/n64 generation survived the PS2/cube/xbox 360 generation and is still highly anticipated for the next gen consoles? Other than Mario (nintendos mascot) there isnt any 3rd pary game with the age of RE that is confirmed for the new consoles is there? Thats gotta be one hell of an achievement.

Hmm...doesn't look that much like Chris to me but if it's a returning character chances are it'd be him.
Dear Capcom,
Please bring this to Revolution. I will cry if I have to buy a PS3/XboxStupidName as well. And my bank balance will cry even harder.
Yours, Me.

When I first saw it I was reminded of Carlos from Resident Evil 3. Because Carlos was foriegn and when you see the city he's walking through I was reminded of somewhere like Spain or some where in the middle east when you see the buildings and those stalls behind him. Also if it was Chris I think we'd recognise him since everybody knew it was him when code veronicas trailer came out.

Well, the spoilt brat of a console -the PS2- has finally gotten its way and is about to steal one of the Gamecube's finest games. I'm getting really bored with this now, aren't you?

Well, the spoilt brat of a console -the PS2- has finally gotten its way and is about to steal one of the Gamecube's finest games. I'm getting really bored with this now, aren't you? That's a very short-sighted, immature thing to say. There's a reason why Resident Evil 4 is coming to PS2, and believe me it's nothing to do with PS2 being "a spoilt brat" as you put it. If Nintendo had actually bothered to advertise Resi 4, and had substantially provided U.S and UK retailers with enough copies, then the game might have actually sold more than a couple of thousand, and we wouldn't be in this predicament of facing an inferior conversion. I'll try to break this down for you, seeing as your way of understanding the industry is to humanise consoles and pretend they all have personalities when they are in fact, corporations trying to make money. 1. Look at this from Capcom's point of view. Outbreak 1 and 2, the online PS2 games that were made by a different part of Capcom, were released and sold ten times more copies than the GC Resi games, despite being a bit cack. 2. Capcom had already spent about 4 years developing Resi 4 and didn't want to face a similar loss by being exclusive to an (relatively) unsuccessful machine. Resi 4 is an epic labor of love, a monster which required five Resi games to be either made, remade or re-released on Cube as a build-up. Even the legendary Devil May Cry and Onimusha were by-products of the Resi 4 development process, only existing as scrapped versions of a very early engine that have evolved into something else entirely. Capcom swore their loyalty to Nintendo by making a monumental series of games even better, for the machine that they felt deserved it. They made a brave and intelligent decision that a lot of developers wouldn't have. 3. Nintendo woefully undersupplied Resi 4 in the U.S and Europe, meaning it sold only a few thousand or so in the first week, plus the game recieved little to no marketing at all. This is one of the dumbest things I have seen happen since Nintendo under-supplied Ocarina of Time back in Christmas 1998. Would Sony let the same thing happen to, say God of War? Or San Andreas? Or MGS3? Resident Evil 4 deserves the same marketing, if not more than any of these series. In other words, Capcom has shown its loyalty to Nintendo by making its games exclusive. Nintendo has returned this loyalty by ignoring them and making their biggest EVER game a commercial flop. Nintendo is one of the greatest developers in the world, I love them, and I own a Gamecube, but this time they have really screwed up bad, and as a publisher they suck. 4. Regardless of whether or not the PS2 version is weaker, it will probably sell millions when it comes out at the end of the year. Sad but true. Now - with all of that in mind - if you were Capcom, what would you do? Believe it or not, it's Capcom's decision to convert Resi 4 to the PS2, not Sony's. The PS2 isn't a spoilt brat, it's just commercially the better option.

He's got a point Omnion, Resi 4 did seem to just creep on to the shelf. Even when the remake of Resi 1 came out, I saw only one advert for it, and that was when I was on holiday in Florida on one of those rubbish chanels that nobody watches. Capcom aren't trying to please all the Donkey Kong and Mario lovers and make games out of the goodness of their hearts, because that would be [censored]ing INSANE! $MONEY$. Think about it.

it wasn't THAT dumb. I was just pointing out how it seems the PS2 always has to get the best games from other consoles. (from what I hear it even tried to get Halo...)

It's quite simple really. Sony has two things: major cashmonies from all their other departments (televisions, music hardware, DVD hardware, music label, etc, etc, etc...) whereas Microsoft and Ninty have to rely almost entirely on computar cash; and market awareness. Everyone and their pet monkey knows what a PlayStation is. My gran knows what one is. So there you go.

I thought I might as well turn this into a thread for the entire series, and slap up new game info. The DS is getting a(nother) remake of the first game, entitled Resident Evil Deadly Silence (DS, get it?) There's a Japanese teaser site up with a few screenshots right here. The graphics are unsurprisingly based on the original PS1/Saturn game rather than the 'Cube remake. Well, it's a bit cheap making ANOTHER version of this game, but if there's enough touch-screen jiggery-pokery it'd be worth checking out. I've heard you actually swipe the stylus to slash your knife, which'd be quite fun. ;D
