Even the Sonic games have covers that are or at least can be interprated as being either gay or homoerotic.

In what way do you think so? I never really noticed or thought those covers in particular were homo-erotic. Do you mean the characters looking very cutish & cuddly at times make them seem homo-erotic?

Woah, have you guys seen what they're doing with the graphics? They're adding some kind of filter to all the games (which thankfully can be turned off). It's hit and miss, but the Sonic games look really interesting with it... Screens here: www.gamersyde.com/news_7405_en.htmlI won't post the images because it'll page-stretch, but check out those Sonic 1 and 2 screens.

I'm sure it probably looks a lot better in motion on a Hi-Def screen. Otherwise, there'd be absolutely no point in it.
That said, I don't see myself ever turning this feature on.

Yeah that's the same as the ones on the Live Arcade, I played with em on and in motion they don't look too bad actually.

The Live Sonic games have filters applied? Man, I didn't even notice. Or perhaps I didn't turn them on, are they off by default?

Yeah you gotta turn em on. In the pause menu options.

The filters look disgusting - they spoil any notion of intricate pixel art and I hope they're off by default. Comix Zone especially looks [censored]ing awful, but in motion the Sonic games are acceptable. I just don't see the point in them. Some scanlines would be nice. However, like I said, they can be turned off.

Ugh, it looks like someone spread vaseline over the screen! Maybe Sonic was feeling fat after too many chilli dogs that day & asked the director to help him out? ;D

Oh sorry, college dulls my brain you big psuedo anti-gay lol ;D What? I've removed that from my original post, sorry if I caused offence. I was saying that over the imagined homo-erotic overtones on the game cover artworks.
